chapter 4: Let Meenakshi decide

"Meenakshi... I request you to please give me a chance. I know this might be something weird... I'm proposing to you in front of our families.... But, but... Meenu I'm serious. I know I've never told you this before but I'd fallen in love with you the very first moment I'd seen you with my brother. Later, as I went on to understand you better, your character made a fan of yours. Just give me a chance. I won't force you for anything. But, please don't call this wedding off...." requested Arjun. Meenakshi's mind was totally blank and was failing to interpret Arjun's feelings.

Gayathri and Ravi were able to see the sincerity in Arjun's eyes. "Arjun, before thinking about calling this wedding off or continuing it, we want to know your parents' opinion on this...." said Gayathri.

There was absolute silence for a few seconds.

"Mrs Malvika, Mr. Rajveer, we would like to know your..." said Ravi politely.

"I feel I would be lucky to have a daughter in law like Meenakshi. I really have a great opinion about her. If this wedding wouldn't have taken place, I would've definitely come to your house to speak about the alliance" said Mrs Malvika excitedly.

This was a shocker to Meenakshi and her parents as the Queen of Udaipur was wanting a middle class Brahmin girl to be her daughter in law and speaks about herself being  lucky as well.....

"I want Meenakshi's opinion about this... Without her consent, this wedding will not be continued.... if she is against it, I will not waste a second, in calling it off... if she is for it, I will definitely organise a grand wedding to welcome the princess of Udaipur....." said Mr. Rajveer.

Everyone's eyes were on Meenakshi. They were waiting for her opinion. Looking at the tension on Meenakshi's face, Mr Rajveer says, "Kiddo, you need not hurry and take a decision. Take your own time. Your college is still on. So, continue with your studies. Take a decision after that. You will have ample time to think and tell us. No one will dare to disturb you including my son...."

Meenakshi calms down after hearing this. "Mr Ravi,  I've a request from my side. Please don't force Meena for anything....." said Malvika to Ravi. He nods her head saying yes.
