Charlie was questioning his life choices. He was currently carrying an unconscious bloke in his arms. He was grateful for the extra strength provided since the blonde was definitely heavy.

He was able to get the mortal away and out of Ben's hands. The manic was about to feast and kill the blonde if his two friends, Isaac and Tara, didn't warn him when they were scouting for food.

The mortal had started to stir in his sleep. Charlie sighed knowing things were about to get complicated. The vampire had bandaged the blonde's hand and looked for any other injuries. He found a couple of bruises, but that's all. Nick cracked open his eyes and looked up at Charlie.

"Well," Charlie looked down. "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty."

"AHH!" Nick screamed as he wiggled his way out of Charlie's grip.

The blonde fell onto the dirt ground and distanced himself from the creature. Charlie just watched the mortal tremble as he just leaned up against a tree with his hands behind his back.

"Where the hell are my friends?!" Nick demanded as his voice trembled. "Did you kill them?!"

"Relax, mortal-."

"Nick."

The two looked at each other before Charlie coughed.

"Gesundheit," Nick gave Charlie a questionable look. "Now, we need to keep moving. My village isn't too far."

"What?" Nick breathed out.

"Once we get there, we're gonna go straight to my house. Then, we'll get you patched up, erase your memory of these past few hours, and then send you on your way!"

"W-Wait-!"

"Great!" Charlie clasped his hands. "We can't waste anytime. Let's go!"

Charlie stalked towards Nick and attempted to grab the blonde. Nick quickly dodged the vampire's grasp and forced himself to stand up, immediately feeling dizzy in the head. The blonde grabbed his head as he supported his body against a nearby tree.

Charlie tried once more to get ahold of the blonde, but Nick put his hand out towards the vampire, telling him to not come any closer. Charlie backed off. The vampire glanced at Nick, noticing how awful he looked.

"We really do need to get going. So if you're done being scared, we need to leave. Now!"

"Oh, oh," Nick chuckled like a maniac. "Uhm, I don't know about you, but I am not gonna go into some village with blood drinkers like you!"

"I saved your life!"

"And I'm not gonna become food!" Nick growled. "You may have saved me, but your friend, Ben, was about to feast on me!"

"Hey!" Charlie beamed. "He is not apart of our village!"

"Oh, are you sure about that?!"

"YES!" Charlie shouted. Nick pushed himself harder, feeling the trees bark digging into his back. He saw Charlie's teeth and how much sharper they were than before. His eyes were glowing red and looked as if he was ready to pounce on the blonde.

The vampire let out a few huffs before composing himself. He pushed back his hair that had covered his eyes before letting out a long, heavy sigh.

"Yes. He is no longer apart of our village. Never has been." Charlie explained.
