~*~*~*~*~*~

Nick was a man who had everything. A loving husband, a kid, a dog, and anything. He wasn't rich by no means, but he made enough from his job to support his family, yet he felt unsatisfied. He understood why, yet refused to deal with it and rather stuffed into the back of his mind. Out of sight, out of mind afterall. The blonde was never good at confronting his inner demons, but he had improved over the years.

Regardless of his demons, he was able to push them away in order to give him some time for peace. Sure he went to a therapist to talk about his issues, but it didn't last long. His therapist just canceled on him for no reason. He got his money back, sure, but it struck a cord with the blonde. He remembered when he was in his early teen years, he didn't have anything that was serious. However, once college hit, that's when everything came raining down on him like a storm.

Nonetheless, Nick had been trying to find a needle therapist for a short while. However, his job started to get in the way and taking care of his family. So, he eventually stopped looking for one all together, deciding that he'll be fine on his own for awhile, at least.

Nick was in his office, working away. He thought about being a professional rugby player, but he broke his leg during the first game. He was offered to come back to play again, but Nick needed to find a job that could pay somewhat quickly in order to pay the hospital bills. He wonders if he should try again. Then again, if he broke his ankle in the first game, then what would be the point? It would probably happen again. He had grown used to being a bad luck charm, ever since college.

Nick took his hands away from the keyboard and started to stretch. He heard a few of his bones crack before he began to crack his knuckles. He really needed to start heading to the gym again. It's been a year and a half at this point.

Putting that aside, he checked the clock and saw his time was done. He slowly started to clean up his work space and headed out. Once he made it into his car, he careless through his brief case into the back seats before getting into the driver seat. As he adjusted the review mirrors, he saw a figure in one of them. He quickly looked over and saw it was just one of his coworkers walking to their vehicle. Nick let out a heavy, yet relief sigh.

Once he had left his work building and was on the road, his mind started to wonder about. He knew he would always come home late to his family, but he wish he didn't have to. He always missed them dearly, despite them being an hour or two away. He wished he spent more time with his husband. He wished he had more time for his kids, Amelia and Spiro. He wanted more time to cuddle next to his lover. He wanted to read bedtime stories to his kids. Nick let out a heavy sigh as he felt a shiver go down his spine.

__________

Nick finally arrived home, and the first thing he wanted to do was lay down and sleep. However, he knew his family came first. He got out of his car and his brief case and tiredly went inside his home. He immediately got tackled into his hugs by his kids, who were hugging his legs. Nick chuckled as he sat on his knees to hug Amelia and Spiro.

"Heya, kiddos." Nick greeted warmly. "What are you two doing up so late?"

"They wanted to see you, duh." Nick looked up to see Tori and Charlie.

"I tried to get them to bed, honest." Charlie chuckled.

"It's alright, love." Nick picked up his kids, forgetting about his brief case. "I don't mind these two greeting me. It's nice."
