Nick was excited. He had made plans with Charlie to go apple picking, then use them to make an apple pie for his mom. She was having a rough day and wanted to make something to cheer her up. However, he had promised Charlie that they would spend the day together.

Nick decided to just combine the two together. After all, Nick's mom seemed to like Charlie a lot. So, why not give the poor women someone who could help cheer her up?

Nick finished tying up his kicks when he heard a knock at his front door. He jumped to his feet and quickly made his way to the door, opening it up to be greeted by his soulmate.

"Hey Nick, you ready?" Charlie beamed. His smile made Nick's heart flutter.

"Sure am, pumpkin."

Nick walked out of his house and locked the door behind him. Nick offered Charlie his arm, which Charlie didn't hesitate to cling onto. The two walked down the sidewalk when Charlie spoke up.

"So, what exactly do you have planned for us?" Charlied asked. "You usually tell me what's gonna happen on our dates."

"Its..." Nick hesitated. "A surprise!"

Charlie looked over at Nick, clearly not convinced but didn't say anything. Nick cursed at himself internally.

"We're gonna go pick apples." Nick spag out.

"What? Why?" Charlie looked confused. "Couldn't we buy them at a store?"

"We could," Nick agreed. "But where's the fun in that?"

"I suppose you have a point. Not to mention I've never went apple picking." Charlie admitted.

Nick stopped the two of them from walking any further. The two made eye contact. Charlie looked into Nick's eyes and saw he was taken aback. Charlie bit the inside of his cheek, wondering if he said something wrong.

"You've never been apple picking before?" Nick asked.

"Yeah," Charlie smiled shyly, with an embarrassed expression. "Is that a bad thing?"

"No, no" Nick shook his head. "Just means you're gonna have a much more fun time."

"I'm always having fun when I'm by your side, Nicky." Charlie smiled softly. A small blush forming across his face.

Nick smiled back and gave Charlie a quick peck on his soft lips. The two stared lovingly at one another before breaking away.

"So, how long is it to this apple farm?" Charlie asked.

"About...5 hours?" Nick replied.

"5 hours?!" Charlie repeated.

"Yep!"

"Couldn't you drive us there?"

The two stood there for a few seconds before Nick facepalmed.

"Of course! Why didn't I think of that?" Nick chuckled.

"You get distracted by cute things, that's why." Charlie explained.

"What can I say?" Nick shrugged. "I have a really cute boyfriend."

Nick smirked at Charlie, watching the bloke's face turn a strawberry red. Charlie nudged Nick as the blonde did the same action as Charlie. After having a small nudge fight, the two stopped.
