"Hello?" Charlie called out. "Hellloo?"

Charlie continued to walk around in the dark, dull forest. The colors were depressing with hardly any light or color being present. Charlie looked down at himself to see he didn't have color as well. He sighed as he stopped walking in the middle of the forest where he was minutes ago. He had been walking in a circle the whole time.

Letting out a heavy groan, Charlie went to a tree and sat down, leaning against it's bark. Usually Charlie didn't have dreams, guess it was different today. Then again, it didn't feel like a dream to him and he already figured out he could feel pain. Each time he had walked felt like stepping on glass. His feet were exhausted and in pain. Charlie was tired and feeling low.

He should've seen this coming, but it was that time of the year were his depression was hitting him hard. Today was going so well. He got to hang with his friends, spend time with Nick, and was able to actually enjoy October. Guess the world had other plans for him, because he wasn't allowed to be happy and have luck. He was cursed to be miserable and, well, cursed.

Charlie pulled his knees close, burying his head as let out small sobs. The forest was as quiet as a mouse, until small sobs disturbed the eerie peace. That is until a soft glow peaked out from the overgrown trees. The glow floated towards the weeping bloke, getting his attention.

Charlie looked at the glow, squinting his eyes a bit. The small glow started to shirt from an orb into a copy of Charlie. It held out its hand towards the sad bloke. Charlie looked between the light and the offered hand. His gut was telling him not to take it. Not to trust the glow; however, his head was saying the opposite. Stating that it was good. The light was friendly and wanted nothing more than to help.

Charlie hesitantly reached his hand out towards the light one. Just as he brushed his fingers against the other, past memories started to resurface. Flashes of the time he would grab the sharpest object he could find and using it to create such...work. To the point he made tic-tac-toe boards on his shoulders, as if he was gonna play the game against himself.

Charlie quickly retracted hos hand back, noticing how the forest was starting to cease to exist. He jumped to his feet and slowly backed away from the light figure of himself, it following his every moves. In a moment of panic, Charlie's flight instincts kicked in and fled the scene. The light figure stood still as it watched Charlie run. It tilted it's head once it saw Charlie was gone.

Charlie kept running. He didn't care which way he took, seeing as it was nothing more than a forest made to get lost in like a maze. The landscape around kept collapse, everything shattering like a mirror. Charlie noticed a large crack on the ground and took a deep breath in before jumping over it, stumbling on his feet a bit.

He took this time to catch his breath and look to see if that thing was following him. Nothing.

Charlie straightened himself before looking harder to see if he was being delusion or not. However, it was short lived as the ground underneath him started to disappear. Charlie gasped as quickly took off once more, this time struggling to avoid the shattered ground. His feet were starting to burn like he was running on burning coal.

The ground kept breaking, but was a lot faster than before. Charlie tripped over himself and landed face first onto the ground. The floor underneath him started to collapse, leaving Charlie to hang onto a small ledge. He looked down and saw nothing but pure white. Charlie looked back up to see a dark figure of himself. It towered over Charlie before it started to step on Charlie's hand.
