The light came through my blinds, almost blinding myself before I opened my eyes slightly. I stretched and grabbed my phone from my nightstand.

Some messages, some notifications, some social media tags— wait. I go to Instagram immediately. Was that me?

A picture of me getting inside of Walden's car comes in front of my face. Comments from people at the factory overload the post. The caption reads 'OH MY GOSH!! WALLY GOT A CRUSH 👀👀.'

From somebody named Sally posted this. I didn't even know people saw me get into his car, this was going to be fun.

Walking into work felt even worse. Once I walked in, I could see people glaring at me. Looking at me in the corner of their eyes like I didn't notice. They whispered and made comments that was visible to hear.

I could hear on the announcements that Wally needed me. Like now.

I rushed into his office. He walked over from his desk and put his hands on my shoulders. "How can you be so fucking stupid?!" he started shaking me. "W-what are you talking about?" I asked. "The pictures, damn it.." he sighed falling back onto his office chair.

"The pictures? Wha— oh- OH! Those. I mean— possibly those couldn't get to the entire factory in a matter of seconds." I chuckle. But all Walden does is stares.

"I forgot your new." he stood up from his office chair again. "You probably don't know Sally. Trust me, you don't even want to know her. She's absolutely insane. No fucking brain cells in her star shaped head." he rolled his eyes at his comment. "Star? Please elaborate." I asked nicely. "She has over four hundred thousand followers. That information can spread fast across the entire factory like an desert." he said. I raised an eyebrow.

"But you're the boss. Just tell her to delete it." I say. "I'm not only her boss, I'm her friend. And arguing with her is like arguing with a brick wall." he explained. "If she's a star, I can imagine that." I comment. "This is your fault!" he pointed his finger at my face. "What? I don't even know Sally. I just wanted a ride! If I knew she was going to take pictures and put them all over social media, I would've never gotten in your car." I scoffed.

"Well—" he was cut off as we both turn to the double doors of his office. "OH MY GOSHHHH!! Do NOT tell me it's Y/n! The REAL Y/n standing in front of me with their boyfriend!" she squealed. I turned towards him then back at her. "He's not my—"

"SHUSH! Don't you know how lucky you are? To have such an— hm, erm— smart and intelligent lover?!" she tried to make up something good, she failed horribly, but I didn't comment on that. Wally groaned. "Sally, could you please delete those photos?" he asked. "But I thought it was official! I mean, I already have like millions pictures of proof!" she shrugged.

"But I just needed a ride. I forgot my car keys and just needed somebody to ride me back to my house." I explained. "Yeah, you just admitted that you admire Walden." she said. I tilt my head in confusion. "But—"

"No buts. You need to delete those. Asap. Before— you know who finds it.." he didn't want to say it, but the whole factory already saw it? Like he said, it would've spread like a desert. "Oh! Julie? Why would she care? It's not like she cares anymore about your relationship. She hasn't talked to you since!" she chuckled.

WHAT?

Girlfriend? Wife? Secret lover? This all didn't make any sense. Am I missing something?

"I'll delete them when I feel like it. Tootles!" she giggled before leaving the office. "Dang. You were right. It is like arguing with a brick wall." I scoff turning back to him. "Uhm— boss? Do you mind explaining to me about you and Julie's relationship?" I asked tilting my head. "She was lying. Trust me. Julie is nothing to me." he left the office before I did.

But still. There must be some type of reason. Definitely some ex-lover thing going on, and I'm all here for it.

I was grabbing Wally some coffee from the break room when I noticed some employees whispering about something. I knew it was about those pictures. I gripped the coffee cup just thinking about it. It's been bugging me all day, and I just couldn't have the nerve to ignore it. Every time I walk by a certain employee, I can just hear the same lines 'Are the rumors true about Y/n and the boss dating? Sally said they are official!' idiots. I thought they would've thought it might've been photo shopped, but everybody in here is stupid.

I haven't seen Julie all day. It's almost like she doesn't want to see me after the rumors. Maybe she saw those pictures as well, and that's why Wally wants to get rid of them so bad before she did. But I think he already knew it was too late.

I was starting to get fed up with all of the rumors that I've been hearing. Even at lunch, somebody even asked me about those photos! Coming up to me asking about me and Walden's relationship, and what happened when I got in his car. But I never responded and told them to mind their business. Honestly, I can hate people any day without caring. It's like people don't have brains. Especially in this factory, they don't.

After within a few minutes after lunch, I did run into Poppy, who was getting back from the second infirmary. She bumped into me like the first time we met on the stairs before getting interrupted by Wally too soon that she had to run. "Dear! I didn't see you there. I apologize I'm in a bit of a rush to the infirmary." she explained, her feathers, moving up with her voice. "Oh! Don't worry about it, pop! Why are you heading there so fast? If you don't mind me asking." I asked.

"My, I'll explain as fast as I can. Wally and Sally got into a bit of an argument before lunchtime. I'm not too sure if you heard about it yet, but Sally got messed up badly and got a bit hurt in the battle. I just need to stitch her up with the other nurses." she happily explained. Fight? They must've been arguing about those pictures online. I sighed. "Can I see her?" I asked looking up at Poppy. "Yes, I'll call you down when she's ready." she nodded and left my sight.

This is my fault.
