I look confused as I turn towards Barnaby who seems to be whispering. That's when Sally runs up to me, grabbing onto my shoulders, and shaking me. Violently.
"What?! What?" I say as she shakes me. "You know his daughter is dead!" she stops shaking me, I hope. I shake my head, I did forget. "Well, how am I supposed to know he has a daughter?" I rub my cheek, the mouth one. "I told you this! You can't go around telling people's daughters they need to die!" she puts her hands up, then they fall to her hips. It's not like I was planning to do that, it just slipped out. And I forgot, but I should probably apologize. "Oh.. well, I'll see what I can do." I sigh, looking down at the floor in embarrassment to my actions.
I do feel bad for the guy, he can be rude, but he has a soft spot somewhere in him. "Think quick! He might turn you into a test subject!" Sally says, walking away. Everybody else has already left the scene since Wally had left. I looked everywhere and pull out my phone.
WALDEN:
ME:
"WHAT."I stare at that picture for some time before I see the little bubbles of him typing.
WALDEN:
"I'M SORRY THAT WASN'T MEANT FOR YOU!"ME:
"At least take me out on a date before sending THAT."WALDEN😏:
"Maybe I will."He deletes that before I can really read it.
WALDEN:
"What do you want?"ME:
"Can we meet up behind the factory?"WALDEN:
"Woahh hold your horses."ME:
"JUST MEET ME THERE."I roll my eyes. Sometimes, I wonder if he really can be nice. A few minutes later, we both meet up behind the factory, like during the pictures era. He was there before me, somehow. He has his hands in his pockets, it's kind of chilly though, so it makes sense. "So—"
"Get to the point." he says. I gulp. "Don't interrupt me." I tell him, then continue. "So about what happened," I said. "I didn't— FORGOT, your daughter had— uhm, passed." I look away scratching my neck. this was awkward. "Go on.." he says. "That was it." I say. "Oh, well— okay." he sighs, looking down. I would've said more if I had more things to say— but I didn't memorize this in just a few minutes. "What were you expecting?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at him. "No— I just, nevermind. I thought it was going to be more romantic." he admits softly.
Romantic?
I blush a lot at his statement. I wasn't expecting that response. "Oh— I can help with that." I tell him, still in my normal tone, because I know nothing about romance. He slowly looks up. "That was horrible," he continued. "But I'll clear it up so you don't embarrass yourself." he moves toward me, and I stand there like a moving stick. Shaking quite a bit. It felt like time had just stopped in front of my very eyes. He came— finally — towards me and lifted up my chin with one finger. Wally, somehow— pulled me toward his lips, and, you guessed it, we kissed.
He put his hands on my hips, and closed both our eyes.
