Nakalipat na kami ni Kai sa bago naming condo. It was a stressful 3 months planning and designing everything, but all the hard work paid off.
Today is a "homewarming" party but with just all our close friends.
Speaking of which, we already made up. Also with Jay and Claire, they made up. Even Kai and Claire. That was an intense talk between them but I'm glad that they managed to work it all out.
"Aba, potangina! Mga bossing ko!" Sigaw ni Oli pagpasok niya sa condo as he saw the place.
"Kenzie I know you could afford all this by making us buy all your food," sabi naman ni Jay and I smiled as he hugged me.
"Oh, yeah. I could afford a million a month because you buy me silog," pang-aasar ko at nanglaki naman ang mata niya.
"This is a million per month?!" Gulat na tanong ni Ady and Kai and I laughed.
"No, dummy!" Sagot ko at inirapan naman niya ako.
"Kenzie this place is so nice!" Nakangiting sabi ni Claire while kissing me on the cheek and she gave me a bottle of wine.
"Thank you. Ang lakas maka grown up ng wine," sabi ko sa kanya and she laughed.
"I like to think that we're growing up together," sabi niya and I smiled.
I like to think that too. The future no longer scares me.
"Nice place," bati ni Kentaro and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Thanks," sagot ko lang and he smiled as he gave me his gift.
"It's a candle. I don't know what to get," pagpapaliwanag niya and I nodded.
"Go get something to eat," sabi ko sa kanya and he nodded as he hugged me.
We all settled down and started to eat.
"How's the trial going?" Biglang tanong ni Eli and they all looked at me.
"I think it's done. He's already in jail two months ago," sabi ko at nanglaki naman ang mata nila.
"What? Why didn't you tell us? I could've thrown a party," sabi ni Jay and I shrugged.
"I was at Ikea shopping for my home," sabi ko and Kai hugged me as she was there when I broke down on Ikea upon hearing the news.
They still don't know what really happened. But know him being locked up, I think I can finally start talking about it.
But not now with everyone.
"His mom was crying and kneeling in front of Kennedy," komento ni Kentaro at lahat kami napatingin sa kanya.
