Mackenzie's POV
Matapos ang incident, hindi ko na muna pinabisita sila Oli. Hindi na rin muna ako pumasok sa school and requested for an online class instead.
Kai was hesitant to leave me alone at first, but I continued to fake a smile kahit na namamanhid na talaga ako. For their sake. Hindi naman kasi porke my world stopped and crumbled, ganon din dapat sa kanila.
Kentaro hasn't contacted me either. Or I don't know, I barely touched my phone. Nag-oopen lang ako ng laptop ko to attend my classes dahil alam kong ipipilit nila Oli na pumunta rito if I ever miss one class. So I open my laptop, I pretend I care sa lectures, shut my laptop off, and then I stare at the wall until I have to pretend for them again.
Nagulantang ako nang may biglang gigil na gigil na nag-doorbell sa unit ko. That could only mean one thing.
I dragged myself out of bed and viola, the beloved parents.
"What did Maileen do?! What did her son do?!" Galit na sigaw niya agad pagpasok niya ng condo ko and Dad was following her.
"Kennedy, I said be calm," sabi naman ni Dad while sighing as he looked apologetic for the sudden outburst.
It's not sudden. She's always like this.
Ang huling pumasok ay si Kentaro, who couldn't even look at me.
"Malleric, how could I be calm?! After what she did to my daughter?! After what her son did to my daughter?! That fucking son of a bitch!" Sigaw na naman niya while slamming her bag on my table.
"I'll make sure that son of a bitch rots in hell," sabi niya na parang may usok na lumalabas sa ilong niya and I looked at Kentaro.
He has no business telling them.
"At the very least, why would you even suggest your brother to be kicked out of the team? Are you thinking straight?" Galit niyang baling sa akin and I smiled.
"I missed you too, Mom." Nakangiti kong sabi at umirap siya sa akin.
"Call Attorney Guanzon, I'll make them pay sa ginawa nila kay Mackenzie. Ugh! I'm fucking pissed, Malleric!" Sigaw niya kay Dad at tumango naman ito and then I sighed.
"Do you really have to be here? Can't you do it somewhere else? In Canada, maybe? Or somewhere in Europe?" naiinip kong tanong.
Wala naman na akong magagawa. Kung iyon ang gusto niya, no one could really stop her. I just want out of it. I don't want any involvement or whatsoever.
"Hey, Attorney Guanzon. This is Malleric, yes I know. It's good to hear from you. Listen, I'm gonna file a case. I need you ASAP. Can you meet me in my office in a few? Great. Appreciate it. I'll ping you when," narinig ko namang sabi ni Dad sa cellphone niya at tumingin sa akin.
"Are you okay?" He asked nang makita niyang nakatingin ako sa kanya.
"How could she be okay, Malleric? Your daughter was fucking abused!" Sigaw na naman ng nanay ko.
"Can you not shout?" Naiirita kong sabi sa kanya at ibinaling na naman niya ang tingin niya sa akin.
"You. You'll tell me everything. Every detail. I'll make sure that bitch who raised that fucking jerk will regret ever crossing me," sabi na naman niya at tinawanan ko siya.
"I won't tell you shit. He probably will, I won't." Sabi ko sabay turo kay Kentaro who looked guilty.
"What do you mean you won't tell me shit? Are you fucking insane?!" Sigaw niya, for the nth time.
"Girls, can we stop with the cussing? And Kennedy, stop forcing Blanche. Ako na ang bahala. If she's not ready to talk about it, she's not." Dad interrupted, trying to de-escalate the issue.
