BLOOD TYPE DIETING
Usually, there are some certain food that whenever I eat it, I purge or won't be comfortable. I am TYPE O and after reading "Eat Right 4 Your Type" by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo, I learnt that I purge because those foods are not good for my body/blood type.
In his book, he grouped the blood type dieting into 16 food groups:
1. Meat, Offal, Poultry and Game.
2. Seafood.
3. Dairy Products and Eggs.
4. Oils and Fats.
5. Nuts and Seeds.
6. Beans and Pulses.
7. Cereals.
8. Breads, Crispbreads and Muffins.
9. Grains and Pastas.
10. Vegetables, Sprouts, Soya Products and Fresh Herbs.
11. Fruits.
12. Juices and Other Fluids.
13. Spices, Dried Herbs and Flavorings.
14. Condiments.
15. Herbal Teas.
16. Miscellaneous Beverages
Each of these groups divided food into:
HIGHLY BENEFICIAL: foods that acts like a MEDICINE.
NEUTRAL: foods that acts like a FOOD.
AVOID: foods that acts like a POISON.
He even included in what proportion this should be eaten, also a meal planning for each group, a menu you can follow with recipes, supplements that best suits your blood type and the ones you should avoid. It also explained how each blood type handle stress and exercise guidelines.
It is a very wonderful book that is advisable for everyone to read. It can help you maintain your original body weight and size.
It is also advisable to get a medical examination and advice from a certified and experienced Nutritionist/Doctor before you go on any dieting plan.
