WHITE RICE
There are different kinds of rice. The ones that are produced in Nigeria is very different from the ones outside Nigeria. Here, we have to parboil rice and wash away some dirt’s in it and remove sands before eating it. We have the local ones which has more stones and dirt inside and the ones that are neat and prices vary with this in consideration. The local ones are stony and tiny while the other is longer, less stony or sandy.
We parboil rice first and then cook it again till it’s softer, although some don’t parboil it and cook it once after washing it thoroughly. They wash it first with salt and hot water and cook it once till it’s soft.
White rice can be eaten with a lot of things. With Stew, Sauce, Soup etc.
