PORRIDGE YAM

Ingredients:
 Yam
 Palm oil or groundnut oil
 Pepper
 Crayfish
 Seasoning cube
 Onions
Optional ingredients:
 Dry or smoked fish
 Vegetables (tomato, pumpkin, bitter leaf, scent leaf, curry leaf etc) spices etc.

Preparation tips:
Scrape the back of the yam and cut into smaller sizes, prepare your ingredients and wash your vegetables ahead.

Preparation:
1. Pour the yam pieces into a pot and add water. Add in salt, seasoning cubes, onions, crayfish and pepper, then your fish.
2. Once it starts to boil, add palm oil and cut your vegetables if you’re using any. If you’re not using any, allow the yam to cook and check after some time and stir.
3. Cover and let it cook more so the water will thicken. Stir and turn off the heat. There different ways and ingredients you can add in your yam porridge.

Serving:
Yam porridge can go with almost anything.
