The last Hollingworth - a Hogwarts Story

The new girl

I hated how everyone was looking at me.
I knew being a new fourth year wouldn't be easy.
The new girl.

I could hear them talk.
I waited there with all the new first years.
Ready to get sorted.

Even the first years stared at me.
I kept ignoring them.
Showing weakness would be the worst thing I could do right now.

God please don't let my middle name be on that list. That would be so awkward.
I loved my middle name.
But I just diddnt wanted everyone to know.

„Elisabeth Hollingworth"

My name echoed through the hall.
I looked up to the tall professor in front of me.

Professor Mcgonnagal was nothing but nice to me since i met her a couple days ago.
I took a deep breath and went up the few stairs and sat down on that tiny stool.
As soon as the sorting head touched my head he screamed.

„Slytherin!"

I sighed.
That was what I was hoping for.
There was no other possible way.

I got up and made my way to the slytherin table.
I could feel the eyes that were staring at me.

Then I saw a short, black haired girl pushing the guy that sat next to her aside and smiling at me.
She made a gesture to invite me to sit next to her.

She was gorgeous.  

My heart was racing.
She looked nice.
She was friendly to me.
This was a good start.

„Hey I'm Pansy."

the girl reached out her hand.

„I'm Elisabeth. But please call me Elli."

„Alright Elli. Im pretty sure you will get the empty dorm room right next to mine. I can show you everything later if you want"

Her voice was so genuine and nice.
I hadn't expected this much friendliness.
But i just nodded.

This went better than expected.
Through the whole dinner Pansy kept explaining things about Hogwarts.
Introduced me to her friends Daphne and Astoria. They were really nice.
In general i could not see so much girls on the slytherin table.
So they must be very excited to gain one.

I quickly warmed up with the three girls.
After dinner we made our way to the slytherin common room.
On our way we walked towards a group of guys.
Two of them smoking, the rest standing around them talking.

„Oh and this is our chaos group. I don't even know how we are friends with them"

Pansy laughed.

„Oh I know why you are friends with Mattheo"

Daphne whispered.

„Shut up"

Pansy got bright red.
As we got closer Pansy introduced the guys.

„So the two tall ones are Baise Zabini and Theodore Nott, the blonde one is Draco Malfoy, the one with the fluffy hair is Lorenzo Berkshire and the arrogant one right there is Mattheo Riddle."

she pointed at each one of them.

„Arrogant? Pansy, love, I thought we were friends"

Mattheo snapped his cigarette on the ground and smirked.
Pansy just roled her eyes.

„Guys meet Elli. Be nice or I will punch you"

Pansy said with a wide smile.
I smiled warm and waved.
