Betrayal

It was so hard.
Everyone just worrying about me.
I just wanted to forget everything.
To go back to before that.

A couple of weeks after school started again they finally began to listen to me and losen up a little.
I really needed that.
Feeling always monitored made me crazy.

Everything seemed fine.
I only had nightmares some times.
And if I did Tom was always there.
Usually he just held me till I could sleep again.
I would wake up to some flowers and a present.

He never really managed to vocalise his feelings but did everything to show me.
He showered me in presents.
Even if I told him it was too much sometimes.
Princess treatment always.

A big problem nonetheless was his jealousy.
He wasn't an inch better than Mattheo.
But Tom was way more subtle about it.
Even tho we fought a lot about it.
I sometimes had a slight feeling that he wouldn't trust me.
But taking with him was very difficult.
Especially when he was angry.
But gladly he sooner or later always realised that he was wrong.
He wouldn't admit it.
And he would certainly not apologise.
But he showed me that he was sorry on other ways.

Pansy and I often talked about this.
Because Mattheo handled his jealousy a little differently.
He got into fights way more often.
And even sometimes was really unfair to Pansy.
I always tried to talk to both.
But it was hard.
They both were really stubborn.
But always managed to get themselves together.

Until this day.
I sat in the great hall next to Enzo.
We were talking about classes as we saw Mattheo and Pansy.

„Oh no. They're fighting again"

I sighed as I saw them arguing.

„Oh bloody hell. What now."

Enzo shook his head.

As it got more and more heated I got up.

„You sure you wanna do this?"

Enzo asked carefully.

„I have to. Or they kill each other"

I huffed and walked over.
I slid between them and shushed them.

„Stop screaming! Both of you! What the fuck is wrong?"

Mattheos raged face snapped towards me.

„Oh shut up! You're not better!"

I raised my eyebrows at this.

„Woooow! Chill what the fuck"

„Elli he thinks I cheated on him! And that you covered for me"

Pansy was fuming.
I snapped towards Mattheo.

„Are you good? Why would she do this? And why the fuck should I do this? I told both of you if one of you screws up and I find out imma tell the other one"

„Well obviously you were lying"

Mattheo spitted out.
My face darkened.
This boy was for real.

„Excuse me? Are you saying I lied?"

My voice was low and angry.

„Well yeah! Must be true when everyone talks about it!"

„Who the hell even set this rumour?"

I asked pissed.

„Rumour? Well it's not a rumour if it's true"

„It's not true Mattheo! Get yourself together!"

He huffed.

„Fuck you! You lying bitches!"
