He lead me upstairs to my dorm. He closed the door behind us.
It was neatly cleaned and flowers on every surface where space was.
It looked beautiful. I looked around with sparkling eyes.
„Tom where the hell did you get sunflowers in February?"
I laughed and shook my head.
„I have my ways darling"
He smiled. He was visibly nervous. I smiled at him and tilted my head slightly.
„Based on your restless behaviour I assume this isn't the suprise?"
„No it isn't."
he said short. He took a deep breath and looked into my eyes.
„I thought about what to get you for a long time. And nothing seemed to be perfect."
„Tom I don't need something super expensive or fancy. My biggest present is having you"
I said smiling. He smiled ever so slightly and took my hand.
„I know my love but I wanted to get you something nonetheless. And I know I already made you a promise."
He gently tapped the necklace.
„But I want to make another promise."
Be reached in his pocked and got out a small box. My heart was pounding.
„I want to promise to love you forever. To make sure that you will be the one person that will never have to fear me. To protect your pure and good soul with everything I have. I know we are too young to get married or something like that but I will promise to stay with you for the rest of our life's."
He opened the box and got out the most gorgeous ring I had ever seen.

„Tom-„
I breathed out.
„I-I made sure it matches your necklace"
he whispered while he placed it on my finger. I looked up to him with watery eyes.
„I love you darling. And nothing can change that"
he smiled softly and kissed my forehead. It took me a couple of seconds to realise what just had happened. But then I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck.
„I love you so much Tom. Thank you so much"
I kissed him over and over and over. He held me tight.
„You're my light in the dark"
he mumbled inbetween kisses. I pulled back slightly with a big wide smile. He admired my face for some seconds.
