We left the living room.
In the hall Eve pulled me into a hug.
I wrapped my arms around her.
It felt so strange but so good.

I never had this.
Someone like this.
Something like a mother.

„I'm so glad you're alive."

„Thank you so much."

„You're part of our family. Even before you were born. And we care for our family"

She smiled warm and we went upstairs.
Upstairs we went right down the corridor.
There were many doors.
But we went to the end.
On each side a door.

„Left is Toms room. And here on the right is your room"

She opened the door.
The room was quite big.
And beautiful.
On the right was a big closet and a dressing table.
On the wall ahead was a big bed with a lot of pillows. The only thing else on the wall was a door that must be the bathroom.

On the left were a big book shelf.
The other half of the wall were a really big window. It stood out a little and had instead of a windowsill there was a Polstered bench.
Next to the door was like Mattheo's room a little fire place surrounded by a couch and some seat cushions.

I looked around amazed.
Only then I noticed the ceiling.
I stared up and gasped.
There were no ceiling but a starry sky.
It was beautiful.

„I see you like it."

Eve smiled.

„I love the stars"

I said under my breath.

„I see. So I guess Tom chose this room on purpose. Not only because it's opposite of his"

she chuckled.

She raised her hand and made a swiping gesture.
The sky changed a bit to other stars.
With more of something that looked like polar lights. My eyes sparked bright and I smiled.

„Wow"

She made another gesture and showed me how I could make them brighter or dimm them.
I was so amazed.
And Tom chose this for me.
He really knew me.

As I played a little with the endless options of that ceiling Eve looked around.

„Where are your things? Didn't Anthas bring them up here?"

I looked around and spotted my bag.

„Oh yes my things are there"

„That? Is that all?"

„Ehm yes. I don't have more"

I said a little embarrassed.
She gave me an shocked look.

„That's terrible.
A young girl with an empty closet?
No! Not in my house.
Tomorrow Marvolo and I are out but the day after we two will go shopping"

„But I don't have"

She interrupted me.

„You're part of this family now. You don't have to pay for anything. We will"

„I can't accept that"

I mumbled.

„Oh yes you can. I have to make up almost 15 years of not being able to spoil my goddaughter"

she smiled.

„Oh I'm so excited. Shopping with the boys is so frustrating. I would have loved a daughter"

I smiled slightly.

„Thank you really."

„I know this is much. But everything will be ok. I promise you.
They can't hurt you anymore. Never again"
