9 years have passed since the meeting with the Volturi.
First;
Edward and Bella had been executed. Charlie had been sent his daughter's ashes with an explanation.
Bella had runaway to Italy to marry Edward when he re-entered her life after deciding that he couldn't live without her.
They were driving to the church only to get into a car accident and die.
As per Volterra policy all John and Jane Doe's are cremated after examination to keep the graveyards from being overpopulated.
Second;
Jasper and Alice decided to remain in Volterra to be with their mates Demitri and Felix respectively.
Third;
As promised, Ana would visit her Aunts and Uncles in Italy during the summer months.
Ana had rekindled her sibling bond with Jasper and developed new ones with Alice, Felix, and Demetri.
Finally, there were her best friends Jane and Alec. They bonded with her, but kept it minimal, allowing Ana to make all the decisions within their friendship. Ana had wanted to consider them older siblings as well, but her heart always told her that that wasn't right, there was another word for the type of love that she felt towards the twins.
She didn't understand what it was until she was 15, and she developed crushes on them. For two years she harbored romantic feelings for both the passionate and cunning Jane and the sweet and intelligent Alec. It wasn't until she visited Volterra once more when she was 17 that she discovered the truth.
She had just arrived and was unpacking her suitcases when Jane and Alec shyly entered wanting to have a conversation with her.
