The Wolf and the Fox

Pov. Storyteller.

Drums beat in the village of the foxes as the entire tribe gathered around the center of the village. Actora sat next to his wife as the trial began.

There were a total of six prisoners, including the two lynxes and a fox that had been captured with the two wolves from Toty’s clan.

The other three prisoners were two foxes and another wolf from another rival group.

Between the two foxes there was a black fox that was so scared that it pissed itself.

Prisoners were placed in front of Actora and when they did not give the information they  ask the leader orders to be executed.

The fox with the ivory knife kept prowling around each prisoner and when Actora made the gesture the prisoner had his  throat cut by the fox with the ivory knife.

Dyra followed the whole trial feeling a little uncomfortable while Neru was beside her, and her suitor seemed to be enjoying it all.

Dyra didn't want to marry him and was getting uncomfortable being around him.

In the middle of the trial Neru tried to take Dyra's hand and the fox kept dodging him pulling her paw away, her mother noticed her daughter’s attitude she gave her a corssed eye look which made Dyra hold hands with the fox.

-    This one got caught stealing - said the fox who used a wooden club pointing at a fox of another tribe.

"We know the punishment for theft," Actora acknowledges.

-    Please don’t! - Shouted the fox, realizing what was going to happen.

-    No! Shouted the fox squirming in the ground.

A fox scrambled to try to help the friend of the tribe but was hit in the back.

-    Stay quiet! - Shouted the fox who used a spear.

-    Please no. - Said the fox who took a stick on the back seeing that his friend was going to be tortured.

-    I don't do it anymore please! Shouted the fox.

The fox was tied up and was being taken to a place near an oven.

The oven was full of embers and Dyra, seeing what was going to happen, preferred to close her eyes.

The fox being held had its paws placed inside the oven filled with emembe.

The fox made a deafening noise feeling the embers burn his hands.

The crowd broke into a chorus smiling as the fox's friend was beaten even more because he was trying to help his friend.

The other prisoners were horrified, some tried to use their paws to protect themselves from the noises of pain and agony.

The prisoner who was a wolf was very scared because he was a wolf, and he imagined that he would have an even worse fate, and even more so because he was in the middle of several foxes.

The wolf looked around desperate even though he was tied on his back looking for an exit but what he saw made him even more horrified, he saw wolf skins hanging in one of the huts.

The trial still began with the noises of the fox agonizing in pain.

-    Tell me where your village is! - said Actora to one of the lynxes.

-    What do you want? - Asked Actora to the two lynxes.

The lynxes spoke a strange language that he did not know.
