A cold metal chair. That's all I could be sure of. I was sitting in it, tied to it. But other than that I couldn't really be sure of anything. I was blindfolded and therefore could not see.

My guess was I was in the A.S.S.'s headquarters. Most likely in one of their five interrogation rooms. I remember looking at the map of their headquarters. I memorized every room, security camera, and way to escape. Thank god for my hacking skills and photographic memory.

Unfortunately, the only way to escape would be out their front doors, which I knew was hopeless due to my out of shape body. They would catch me before I could even look at the door.

Suddenly, ice cold water was dumped on my body. I gasped in shock.

"I cannot tell you how much I've wanted to do that to you" he said and yanked the blindfold off my face.

I knew it would be him. And because the bomb had killed Arden, his coworker and most likely girlfriend, I was in a shitload of trouble.

I started to shiver, not really sure if it was from being terrified or the ice water.

Agent Higa was young. Born on June 6th 1990, he was only in his twenties. He was of Asian descent. Had an older brother approximately three and a half years his senior. His black hair which was gelled up reflected the light hanging above us. His brown eyes penetrated mine, currently molded into slits giving me the harshest glare he could muster.

He suddenly brought his fist into the air and then slammed it onto my cheek. Pain shot throughout my face as I winced. "You're gonna talk or you'll be receiving more of that" he spat.

"I can't" I said out of fear. I meant to stay silent.

"And why is that?" he asked with bitter sarcasm laced throughout his voice.

"They'll hurt my family" I said, even though I wasn't sure I had any left. I wouldn't know. I was kidnapped by the S.I.N.S. when I was ten.

"We have two possible locations of where the S.I.N.S.'s headquarters are. If you tell us which one, we'll watch everyone who goes in and out of the building and track them down. We are here to protect people, even if it's a murderer's family" Ryan said directly at me.

"Okay. I'll talk" I said.

Ryan stood tall and I tilted my head up from where I was seated.

"Well where is their H.Q.?" Ryan asked.

"Abandoned warehouse up on eight mile" I answered.

"That's what I thought. What is your work with the S.I.N.S.?" he continued.

"I skipped three grades in school due to a photographic memory and an I.Q. north of 170. The S.I.N.S. captured me at age ten to be the brains of their operation. I calculated things like where an operation would be, how many people would be needed, and how long it would take. I also read many books on computers and programming so I was an excellent hacker. My photographic memory helped me to learn many languages, so I also helped them with international affairs. I never left the H.Q., though. All my work was done inside."

"And what do you know about the recent bomb?" he asked.

"The S.I.N.S. used it to take down your best agents. They sent a couple of their agents so you guys would come after them. That was the trap. I helped to predict how long it would take for the A.S.S.'s to get there. I also helped steal the bomb in the first place. Listen Ryan, please let me go. If I didn't have to do it, I wouldn't have!" I plead.

Ryan looked furious, and since I was now in his possession, I knew I would get blamed.

He grabbed the sides of my chair and knocked it onto the ground, me falling with it. Since my hands were tied, I couldn't protect my head. It hit the solid ground hard and redness momentarily blinded me.

"YOU KILLED THEM! YOU KILLED HER! Oh, you're gonna pay!" he screamed.

He brought his leg back and kicked my stomach hard. I couldn't breathe.

"Please stop Ryan" I huffed.

"Why do you get to live when she didn't?" Ryan asked as he untied me from the chair. Why was he doing that?

It was easy for me to know he was talking about Arden. On the database she was listed as his partner. But it was easy to see they were something more.

"I didn't mean to kill Arden" I said hoping her name would surprise him and make him stop. He was done untying me by now. He literally froze when I mentioned her name. It was scary.

Then he grabbed my damp shirt and pulled my face up to his. "HOW DARE YOU SAY HER NAME!" he roared.

He threw me back on the ground and kicked my stomach again, harder than the first time. I immediately brought my knees to my chest and ducked my head so I was in fetal position. I heard Ryan walk around me and he started his attack on my back. I lost count of the times he kicked me. I was in so much pain. I just wanted to get away. I couldn't contain my sobs anymore so I let it all out.

Ryan eventually stopped and I heard a voice that wasn't his. Someone else must have come into the room. "Ryan stop!"

"She's getting what she deserves Traci!" Ryan yelled back.

"I don't deserve this. They threatened my family!" I said hoping Traci would be compassionate.

"Ryan do you have any more questions for Ashley?" Traci asked to end this Q and A session.

"Actually yes" Ryan said and I could feel his eyes on me. I was so scared.

"Well make it quick and don't kill her" Traci said and walked out, the door slamming shut behind him.

I still sat on the ground and Ryan stood next to me.

"P-Please don't hurt me" I stuttered.

"Oh, just like you didn't hurt tons of people?" Ryan asked bitterly.

I tensed my body waiting for another kick but it didn't come.

"I do just have one more question for you. You said all your work was done inside the S.I.N.S.'s headquarters. What were you doing at the park today?" he asked.

That was a good question. What was I doing at the park today? My boss D-Trix had told me that I needed to check out the park and report back to him to list what types of operations could be done there. But I NEVER do field work. Why today?

And then everything fell into place. The S.I.N.S's master plan with the bomb had been accomplished. I had done my share. And now I was worthless to them.

They purposely betrayed me and gave me to the A.S.S.'s.
