A bit short and disorienting, and very late, I was too tired to write properly - ah I went to a funfair and walked a lot today so I'm really tired and just about managed to write this
Basically, M contemplating about how any people mask who they are with different things
-------
M supposed the fact he wears a cloak could be kind of like a mask, I mean, he was hiding his identity with his cloak, like someone would with a mask. He observed the Steve's just living their lives, with no fear of anyone finding out about his true identity as a Red Steve. Well, the only one who actually knew from this outside world was Sabre, but he was surprisingly good at not revealing the truth.
He knew people would probably wonder about him and why he wore a cloak, but nobody had asked him, or even prompted him to try and explain, they just kept to themselves and just let him be, and that was fine with him, even less of a chance for his identity to be realised.
And then to think he's been in the vicinity of the Leaders, and they still had no idea they'd been in the presence of a Red Steve. He was so good at masking his identity, which was probably the only solace he could give to the Red Leader who surprisingly hasn't remained too angry with him for long when he goes out, although the scolding he got made him feel like he was being talked to like a child.
M hummed to himself, he supposed Sabre's blindfold could also be kind of like a mask, it did keep his eyes hidden away, but that's all he knew, and the Colourless Guards armour could also be considered like a mask, hiding the real colours of the Steve's underneath.
There were so many things out there that could be a mask, and M was just glad he technically wasn't the only one hiding their identities, even though his was for the sake of his people -
Being a Red Steve is exhausting.
