Everyone knows that things grow. Bonds grow, trust grows, plants grow, Steve's grow! You grow as a person, or you literally just grow taller. You can even grow wiser. The leaders have seen all of these things. They've seen little Steve's grow and change, form their own opinions, and grow into their own personalities. They even had bonds and trust grow between them. Yes, some of them knew a little about each other before actually meeting face to face, but now they are all friends who have grown and changed. And it wouldn't have been so without Sabre.

Without Sabre, many things wouldn't have happened. Light wouldn't have become the person he is today. In fact, he'd most likely still be like he once was. And while yes, he and his group of friends would all be alive and well, until the inevitable escape of the darkness, he wouldn't change anything for the world.

And Red Steve's, oh, they probably wouldn't have ever re-entered society! The fact that they did was such a wonderful change for the world, all the Steve's back to living in a balance. With everything as it should be, the world can continue to grow and change, new Steve's can come, and old Steve's may go, but it's just the natural order of the world.
