It was jarring to suddenly wake up, especially from a weird dream that leaves you feeling lost and confused. Light had woken up this way, sat in his bed in the dead of night, glancing around the room. His heart was pounding in his chest, and he felt like he was being watched. Light trembled, looking around, his breath coming in quick and fast.
It took a while for him to calm down, and when he did, he laid back down, hands on his face, a sigh of unhappiness leaving him. Light's dreams have started becoming really weird recently, which had led to him waking like this more often than not, and it was horrible every time. He knew they'd probably stick with him for a long time, but that was for future him to deal with, and now that he was awake he wasn't sure if he'd be able to go back to sleep.
Ah, well, he's up now....might as well get some stuff done before the morning truly hits.
