Here it isssss, I saw the prompt was fuse and it instantly made me think of when like- a fuse blows and power goes out, which made me think of Assistant Steve, this could've been angst where he was broken forever but I felt too kind for that:3
Hope this is alright:D
Also yes, it's the father-son duo:3

Professor Red was stressing. And he was stressing hard. Somehow, he hadn't forseen the fact that Assistant Steve would break! I mean, he built him not to break, but well, not breaking was something that was impossible, but it was amazing that Assistant Steve lasted without breaking for as long as he had, which Professor Red was glad about. But that left him having to figure out just what broke because it was nothing visible on the outside.
That meant he'd have to open him up. Technically, surgery...surgery on his robotic son? No problem! He could do that! But then came the anxious thoughts that he might break him further. He sighed and decided to just go ahead with it.
When he finally opened Assistant Steve up to have a look, he quickly noticed what the problem was. Assistant Steve had blown a fuse. Professor Red quickly went to go grab a replacement fuse, so very thankful he actually had some. He grabbed it and quickly made his way back to Assistant Steve, removing the faulty fuse, before quickly replacing it with the new one.
Within minutes, he had closed Assistant Steve back up, checking him over before finally turning him back on, feeling mildly anxious because what if he wouldn't actually come back on? But his anxiety was eased when he saw Assistant Steve's eyes go from dark to having a glow of life to them, "There we go... how are you feeling?" Assistant Steve looked around before speaking, "I'm feeling fine. What happened?"
"You blew a fuse. I'm so very glad I had more in storage." Professor Red gave him a gentle smile, "Ah...well, thank you for fixing me, Professor." "I wouldn't ever leave you broken."
Now Professor Red was going to have to make sure he had all the parts that he would ever need to fix Assistant Steve were all stocked up in case anything else happened.
