Sundays were always a relaxed day for me.

Normally, I would stay in my room the whole day and just binge-watch a series that I either missed or just a brand-new series.

I made sure to take a shower and eat breakfast before I isolated myself from everyone the whole day.

As I watched an episode, I heard the booming sound of music that came from outside. I rolled my eyes got up from my bed, and walked towards the window. I looked outside and looked at the front yard of the house next to mine, filled with people.

"What in the hell?" I said in a Chinese accent

I left my room and walked downstairs to the living room. No sign of my parents. Weird. I walked to the kitchen and still, I couldn't find my parents.

"Where the hell are these old people?"

I walked out the front door and decided to take a good look at the house next to mine. That's when I saw Hoshi talking to my parents.

My mind was overwhelmed with questions. Firstly, what was going on at Hoshi's house? Secondly, what was going on between my parents and Hoshi?

As I stood there staring at them, I was startled by a familiar yet annoying voice.

"Boo!"

I flinched. I covered my face with my hands to hide my angered facial expression.

"I always seem to scare you at the right times."

I turned towards Hyunjin and grabbed him by his neck. I proceeded to choke him. I stopped choking him after a few seconds and pushed him, which resulted in him falling on the grass. Once again, I proceeded to choke him.

"Stop fucking scaring me you stupid thwart!" I yelled.

He pleaded with me to stop but I didn't listen, I continued to choke him. After a few minutes, I felt a pair of hands pulling me off Hyunjin. I reacted by kicking my legs like a child.

Hyunjin held his neck and started coughing violently as if I nearly tried to kill him. Well, I tried to.

"Easy there, Ara." I froze.

That voice sounded so familiar, but I couldn't make out who it belonged to. The person let go of me, giving me freedom. I turned around and saw Hoshi.

His tall figure made me feel inferior. His monolid eyes stood out. His small smile triggered the feeling of calmness.

I cleared my throat and stepped back. "You didn't have to do that," I said as I dusted myself.

"You were about to kill him. I mean, look at him."

I turned to look at Hyunjin. His poor body lay there on the grass. I massaged his neck and mumbled under his breath for Jesus to save him.

I rolled my eyes and turned to face Hoshi again.

"Would you like to join us?" He asked.

"Join what?"

"Your parents hosted a welcoming party for me and my family, which is why it's so crowded here."

It made sense. I was reluctant at first, but due to his charm, he ended up convincing me.

"You can go ahead of me, I need to sort out something," I assured him.

He nodded and walked towards his house. I approached Hyunjin. I kneeled and grabbed him by his shirt pulling him close to my face.

"Listen to me, we are going to Hoshi's house. Behave yourself, or I won't hesitate to choke you once again. This time I'll kill you, do you understand?"

He nodded. I helped him get up and proceeded to walk to Hoshi's house.
