3rd person POV
The school day had finally come to an end. As the final bell rang, Ara packed her books and belongings into her bag, excited to head home. Today, her brother Sunghoon had decided to walk home with her and her best friend Yeji.
The three of them strolled down the familiar streets, and for some reason, Sunghoon seemed a bit awkward today. Ara couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was something different about him. Maybe it was the way he kept glancing at her and Yeji with a playful grin.
Curiosity finally got the better of her. "What's going on with you today, Sunghoon? You seem oddly cheerful."
Sunghoon chuckled, deciding to break the silence, "Well, I've been wanting to share something hilarious that happened during lunch today. I accidentally fell into the school swimming pool."
Ara and Yeji burst into laughter at the mental image of Sunghoon's unexpected dive. "You did what?" Yeji exclaimed, trying to stifle her giggles.
Sunghoon joined in their laughter, and it felt good to see him so carefree. "Yep, and I have a feeling half the school already knows about it. But it was worth it just to see you two laugh like this."
As they arrived in their neighborhood, Yeji waved goodbye and headed in her own direction, leaving Ara and Sunghoon to continue walking towards their house.
Once they were alone, Ara decided to spend some time studying biology before diving into the artwork she had recently started. A couple of hours passed by, and before she knew it, it was time for dinner with her family.
During dinner, her parents began discussing the commotion that took place at Hoshi's house the night before. Ara had heard whispers at school about a wild party, but she wasn't sure of the details.
One of her parents mentioned, "I heard Hoshi's brother organized the party. Can you believe the trouble he caused?"
Ara's heart sank. She had thought Hoshi was behind the party, but now she realized it was his brother. She pretended not to know and asked, "What exactly happened at the party?"
Her mother explained about an unfortunate brawl that had broken out. "Hoshi was there, and it seems he's been quite traumatized by the incident."
Ara felt a wave of concern for Hoshi. Despite the awkwardness at the party, she still wanted to be friends with him. After dinner, as she laid in her bed, her thoughts swirled with emotions, especially when it came to Hoshi, Yeonjun, and Hana.
She couldn't understand why she had mutual feelings for both Hoshi and Yeonjun, but one thing was clear - she was determined to finally confess her feelings to Yeonjun. Perhaps, with time, things would become less awkward with Hoshi.
