The Hotel ᵗʰᵉ ⁿᵉˣᵗ ᵈᵃʸ
Light fled through the sheer cream curtains as the wind blew through the slightly open windows. Josh and Robert had been knocking on Eli's hotel room door for what felt like hours, in reality, it had only been five minutes. Rob soon realized that they had his spare room key. They open his door only to see him and Anna snuggled up together in the middle of the bed, both deep asleep.
Rob decided to take a picture before waking the rockstar up. "Mate..." Eli opened his eyes to both Josh and Robert standing over him. A blush quickly taking over his pale cheeks as he looks to the girl sleeping soundly in his arms.
"Sorry to ruin this moment mate, but we need to hurry up and eat breakfast before our interviews." A sassy Irish accent comes out of the tall dirty blonde, sunglasses covering his eyes from the early morning sun. Eli nods before trying to get himself out of Anna's grip without waking her up.
"where are you going?.." a light raspy voice comes through the sheets. Eli looks down to see Anna now partially awake, looking right at him. "The lads and I were gonna go eat some breakfast downstairs. Did you want to come?"
"I should actually get back home, Mittens is probably worried sick about me!" Eli and the rest of the lads look at her confused. "Mittens is my cat, I got her a few months ago." Josh and Rob leave the room, leaving Eli and Anna to talk.
"Are you sure you're alright from yesterday? Did you want me to walk you home? I can cancel my interviews today and spend all my time with you." Eli says in one big breath causing Anna to chuckle.
"Eli I'm fine. If you want, I'll let you walk me home and then after your interviews, we can hang out." She says with a smirk on her face.
Throughout their walk back to Anna's apartment they got to talking about how life has been. Eli apologized for showing up drunk to her family home that night, Anna apologized for not handling the situation better. Their conversation led them both to one downright conclusion, they loved each other. It was as simple as that.
Although neither would tell the other, Anna was happy Eli was back in her life and Eli was happy Anna was back in his. Their conversation about Eli's life on the road was cut short by their approach to her front door. Anna was immediately greeted by Mittens who let out a quiet meow before jumping into her arms.
"Eli, I want you to meet someone very special to me; meet Mittens my fluffy gray cat." Mittens cuddled into Anna as she held her. "It's very nice to meet you Mittens." Eli went to scratch Mitten's head, making her purr and wiggle her tail.
"I think she likes you," Anna says with a smile on her face causing Eli to also form a smile. "Good 'cause I like her too."
Eli soon left to meet up with the boys before their first interview of the day. Before he leaves, he kisses Anna on the cheek, once again leaving her dumbfounded. "meow." Mittens says, causing Anna to look down at her and laugh.
Once Anna was inside she decided to strip clean and renew herself. Once she was out of the shower and feeling fresh, she decided to look into filing a restraining order against Coen. She also decided to get rid of anything that reminded her of him and place it in a box outside.
After only six hours of being home alone, she hears on knock on the door. There stood Eli with some take-out. "I hope you like Chinese." He says as he enters her apartment, once again greeted by the lovely Mittens who was lying around in the kitchen.
"I do actually, your interviews finished surprisingly quickly..."
"ehh...it feels longer when you're actually doing them," Eli says as he grabs all the food out of the bag. "You wanna watch a movie?" Anna suggests. They end up turning on Lady Bird because of Anna's love for Timothee Chalamet. During the movie, Anna and Eli find themselves inching closer and closer together till they are cuddled up together.
They are almost able to fall asleep, however, a knock on the door pulls them out of their trance. "I'll get it." Eli quickly gets off the couch and opens the door, only to be met with the douchebag who tried to assault Anna last night.
"YOU!" Is the first thing Anna hears before she springs off the couch and to the front door. Coen's eyes look like they are filled with the rage of a hundred men. Eli looks quite pissed off too.
"The Hell are you doing here man?! Do you really have the audacity to show your face over here after what you did to her-" Eli says, blocking Coen from seeing Anna.
"Look, man! I just came to apologize to her- And I could say the same thing to you considering how you left things with her-" Coen's voice gets louder as he tries to look over Eli's shoulder at Anna.
"Coen...please leave..." Anna says stepping out from behind Eli's back. "Huh- you mean to tell me you're okay with him but you're not okay with me?!" Coen tries to step forward but Eli stops him.
"ELI DIDN'T TRY TO ASSAULT ME COEN! YOU DID!" Tears form again as Anna raises her voice. Coen says nothing more, grabbing his box of stuff she left by her front door and leaving. Eli immediately pulls her into a warm embrace as she cries again, ruining another one of his shirts.
"thank you..." was all Anna said as they stood in her front doorway, slowly swaying side to side.
