"GOOD NIGHT HOUSTON WE LOVE YOU!!" The overly sweaty man yelled into the mic. Eli glistened in the light as he passed the setlist to some nice fans in the front. He quickly scurried off stage and into the dark-haired girl's arms, lifting her off the ground.

"Ahh Eli!! You did so good!!" The smile on the girl's face was wider than ever. "Thank you Grace, it means a lot that you're here!" He says, making her smile widely.

"You know I'd never miss an opportunity to support my best friend!" As they walk into the band's dressing room, Grace takes the opportunity to hug the rest of the boys.

Eli and Grace have been best friends since they were very little, Eli is older than Grace by four years and in a way is like an older brother to her. They tried dating in High School but it was awkward for both of them. Nonetheless, Grace still makes an effort to support Eli in his music and Eli still acts as Grace's hypeman when it comes to fashion.

"So Grace, how long are you staying on tour with us again?" Ryan asks the brown-haired girl. "Well my last night with you guys is in Detroit, I have a modeling shoot I need to do that weekend," Grace says checking her calendar on her phone.

"You know what we should do?!" Grace says getting up excitedly "What?" Eli looks at his best friend intrigued. "We should go do karaoke!"

Just then Eli's phone starting ringing, Anna's name poping up on his phone with a picture of her from their date. Before Eli could grab it Grace picks up his phone. "Eli, someone's calling you!"

Eli quickly grabs his phone from the brunette girl, quickly answering. "Hello? Anna?" He says as he walks out the room.

"Eli! Is this a bad time?"

"No, no. It's perfect actually." The pale boy grabs out his pack of cigarettes from his leather jacket, lighting one. "Great 'cause I've been missing you." A light blush starts to warm up Eli's face.

"Really 'cause I've been missing you too. I wish you were here right now." Eli takes a puff of his cigarette before letting the smoke blow out his mouth. An action that Anna found herself weak at the thought of.

"I wish I was there too. I had work today though, and I couldn't just leave my patients like that." Eli takes another puff of his cigarette before letting the smoke go again, letting out a deep sigh with it.

Hearing Anna talk about not being able to drop her lifestyle struck a chord with Eli. Deep down Eli was worried about being able to balance his work with his love life. He had been chasing after Anna for more than a couple of months now, he tried to get over her but never did. He was worried that all this distance would result in heartbreak.

"I know, listen, I gotta go. Text me when you wake up though, yea?" Eli says trying to end the conversation as nicely as possible. He didn't like thinking about the distance between them.

"Yea, sure." And with that Eli ends the call, taking a few more hits of his cigarette before smashing it on the pavement and heading back inside. Eli didn't even last a second of being inside before being bombarded with questions from Grace.

"Was that your gIrLfRiEnddd???" Grace says while playfully winking at Eli making all the other boys look at him in amusement as his face turns red. "Grace, she's not my girlfriend," Eli says sitting down next to Ryan.

"yet..." Ryan quickly says under his breath before going back to reading the book at hand. "what do you mean "yEt"?!" Eli looks directly at Ryan, looking for an answer.

"Look lad, it's obvious you like her. And it's obvious she likes you too. I say just go for it." Ryan says turning to Eli before going back to his book.

"whatever guys, let's just hurry and pack up so we can go do karaoke!! WOOO!!" Grace says jumping up in excitement.

The lads quickly oblige her, knowing she won't leave them alone until they listen to her. They found a place not too far from their hotel. Eli decided that he needed to let loose a little, so while all his mates were drinking beers he decided to take shots with Grace. Bobby ended up singing a beautifully horrible rendition of Toxic by Britney Spears while Eli and Grace did a duet of Drop It Like It's Hot. Anybody who heard them singing would be shocked that music is their chosen profession.

The whole night was filled with their awful singing, laughter, and alcohol. After what felt like hours out, the group eventually ended up back in their hotel rooms with Eli and Grace sharing a room. Eli drunkenly falls onto the bed causing Grace to chuckle as she grabs out her pjs and skincare. Without even realizing it Eli drifts off to a deep sleep.
