- Anna's Apartment
ⁱᵗ'ˢ ᵐᵒʳⁿⁱⁿᵍ

Light shined through Anna's sheer curtains waking her from her slumber. As soon as the new blonde got home, she took off her makeup and went to sleep. Not caring that she was in her uncomfortably sparkly outfit. She felt a pounding headache as she covered her face with the covers.

Anna hesitantly reaches for her phone under her covers, only to realize it's dead. She throws the covers over her head and runs to find sunglasses and some Advil. Quickly putting the black shades on and taking the pill.

After 5 minutes Anna checks her phone only to notice it's only 5% and there's an unread message from Eli. Before she knows it she's dialing the Irish boy's number,  the phone rings couple times before she finally hears an answer.

"...hello?..." The tired raspy voice comes through the phone speaker. shit. He was asleep. "Eli..." Anna whispers quickly waking the boy up. It had felt like a while since they'd heard each other's voices.

"oh shit" Anna can hear Eli shuffling around in the background. "Anna, Hi!" His voice now sounded more alive. You couldn't even tell that he was asleep not even a minute ago. "Hi...um...where are you?" The tension on the phone could be cut with a knife. None of them knew what to say to each other.

"What?" Confusion was evident in Eli's voice.

"I mean what tour stop are you at?" Anna says clarifying what she's meant. "Oh..um.." Eli pauses, whispering in the background, a female voice. "Toronto, we're in Canada.." Anna fakes a light laugh, trying not to show how uncomfortable she was. Maybe she was right about her assumptions. Maybe that girl was more than just a friend?

"We haven't talked in a while..." Anna breaks the ice. "Yea...I'm sorry." Eli's voice sounds sincere as he speaks. "I just wished we could see each other face to face, ya know?" Anna tries to hold her tongue as Eli speaks. He had no idea about the trip she planned down to Detroit.

"I feel the same way..." Anna holds back her laugh, trying to sound as serious as possible. "I understand you're tired, I won't hold it against you." Anna had decided not to bring up the picture she saw online. She didn't want to ruin the moment. Eli also chose not to bring up the picture. He didn't want to deal with it over the phone.

"Look I gotta go...I'll call you before the show okay?" Eli's tone was soft as he spoke.

"Okay..." And with that, the call ends. Anna tosses her phone on the bed and pulls her pink suitcase from her closet. Her flight was at night so she still had some time to get ready, however, she just couldn't wait to pack.

It had been months since she'd seen her best friend in person and she couldn't wait. Anna spent the whole morning planning outfits and alternative outfits if the first outfits she packed didn't work. Mittens helped her the whole morning and until she knew it it was the late afternoon.

She heard a knock on the door from her messy bedroom, she opened the door to reveal Debby. She had told Debby her plan and she was more than happy to watch Mittens while Anna was out of town.

"Hey Debby, thank you so much for watching Mittens while I'm gone!" Anna lets Debbie into the house as she grabs everything Mittens will need and hands it to her.  "it was no problem darling, you know I'd do anything for you!" The sweet older woman says before picking up the fluffy gray cat.

"I promise to take perfect care of Ms. Mittens." Debby and Anna talk for a bit before Debby ultimately leaves. Anna lets out a deep sigh before grabbing everything she needs and heading to the airport.

When she was on the plane all she could think about was all the possibilities of what could happen. What it would be like to be reunited with her best friends. What it would be like to surprise Eli. Would he be happy to see her?

Surprisingly Anna overthought herself to sleep. Before she knew it she landed in Detroit. As Anna was grabbing her bag she felt someone creep up behind her, as she turned she noticed it was Beth! "OH MY GOD-" Is all she can get out as she immediately attacks her best friend in a hug.

Screams were heard all through the airport as Beth and Anna jumped up and down, eyes staring at them. After five whole minutes of hugging, they finally grab Annaʻs suitcase and head to the hotel. Beth had flown in earlier because she was farther away so she had time to check in to the hotel. The girls had decided to share a room.

They had an hour before the show so they took that time to get ready. Megan Thee Stallion flowed through the speakers as the duo got ready. Anna took a shower before putting lotion on her legs and starting on her makeup. She wanted to look to die for when Eli sees her, making him go crazy.

Anna applies pink glittery shadow to her eyelids as she sings along to almost every lyric of the song. Meanwhile, Beth was sitting on the floor in front of a mirror doing her hair. After 30 minutes the girls were finally ready to go to the venue. Anna was wearing a black sleeveless turtle neck and a tight leather skirt. Her hair was slicked back into a high ponytail and her boots reached her knees.

To say she looked good was an understatement. Anna had never felt better in her life. Anna and Beth quickly got in the Uber, making friends with a nice man named George.

"You ladies look really dazzling!" He said as they entered the car causing them to blush. "Well you don't look a day over 40 George!" Beth had replied back.

The trio had exchanged jokes on the way to the venue, George even let them control the music in the car. The ride was over in a little less than 30 minutes, causing the duo to separate from the older man.

"Bye George! Thanks for the nice ridee!" Beth stumbled out of the car right after Anna. "Anytime sweetheart." George had a sweet smile on his face. Beth blew him a kiss causing Anna to break into a laugh. They were a bit tipsy already as they had taken a shot before they left.

Hand-in-hand, Anna and Beth walked to the back of the line, it didn't take long for them to get to the front.

"Tickets?" The tall security guard in front of them asked, clipboard in hand.

"They're with me."
