- The Venue
ⁱᵗ'ˢ ᵇᵉᵉⁿ ²⁰ ᵐⁱⁿᵘᵗᵉˢ

It had been twenty minutes since Josh got up and went back inside the venue. Anna had stayed sitting with her thoughts alone before inevitably getting up and heading back inside. The rest of the group had been huddled in their own room, talking about what they think will happen.

"They'll work it out, they always do-" Beth said.

Anna slowly stumbled through the halls of the Venue, trying to find the room Eli was in. She peeks her head into the band's dressing room only to find Eli sitting alone.

"I would've thought you would be in here with her..." Anna says quietly walking into the room, causing Eli to look up from the book he's reading. His stare at her was strong as she sat beside him. As Anna looks at the floor, Eli looks at Anna. He doesn't say a word to her, not knowing how to respond back to her.

"I'm sorry..." is the first thing Anna says. Eli's gaze softens on the girl, he puts the book in his hands down on the coffee table in front of him. "I'm sorry too Anna..." This time both of their eyes were on each other. The air was thick and tension was high.

"I've never told you about my past have I?" Eli scans Anna's face, trying to figure out where this conversation was going. He slowly shakes his head no.

Anna takes a deep sigh before continuing. "Well, in high school there was this boy named Derek. He was on the football team and I was on the student council, so needless to say we were somewhat popular at our small school. We were high school sweethearts." Eli looks at Anna confused as to what that has to do with anything, he listens nonetheless.

"It was senior year and it was coming up on our three-year anniversary. I was really looking forward to it." Anna looked at Eli when she spoke, and her tone was soft. "a couple of months before our anniversary I noticed that would always look for reasons to avoid hanging out with me. Somedays it was because of football and somedays it was because he had to go to "tutoring". I was stupid at the time and listened to him even though my friends told me otherwise."

"I would always take him back because of all the grand gestures he'd do. Before we started dating in high school I had known him for years. I knew all his deepest secrets and aspirations and he knew mine. I really trusted him." Tears start to slowly form on Anna's face. Eli scoots closer to her, sitting side by side with barely an inch between them.

"One day before our anniversary I got a text that said to meet him in the back of the library, I left my math class and walked all the way across the school just to see him kissing the head cheerleader. I was devastated and even more hurt to find out that he'd been cheating on me for months!" Eli wrapped his arms around Anna as she laid her head on his shoulder. "he was my first love yet he betrayed me."

"Anna...I am so sorry that happened to you..." Anna turns her head to look up at Eli. Their lips almost brush against each other as the couple stare deeply into each other's eyes. "I promise that I will never do anything like that to you. I-" Eli stops himself before he can say the eight-letter word that means so much. It was too early, he thought. "I never want to hurt you like that."

The tension in the room was higher as the space between them disappeared. Eli smashes his lips into hers, his hands getting tangled in her hair. Anna finds her way on top of his lap, continuing the passionate rhythm as their lips intertwine.

Meanwhile, in the other room, it was getting quite late. What felt like five minutes to Anna and Eli had felt like five hours to the rest of the group. For the past five minutes, they've been sat in the other dressing room, waiting for the couple to come in and announce that they've resolved their issues.

At one point they thought they had, looking at the door opening with hope only to be disappointed to see Grace standing there.

"Alright. How about one of us goes and checks on them?" Bobby says getting up to open his second beer of the night. "I think that's a smart idea-" Before Ryan can even finish his sentence Bobby interrupts him.

"Great! Then you'll do it." The brunette says before taking a swig of his beer. Ryan looks at Bobby dumbfounded as the rest of the group has a giggle at his antics. "What- Why do I have to do it?!" Ryan objects, now standing up to look at the group scattered across the room.

Bobby was sitting down next to Grace on the leather couch, while Beth and Josh were lounging out in separate chairs. "Because...it would be bloody awkward if I went in there, wouldn't it mate?" Bobby shakes his head before taking another drink.

Ryan accepts defeat, heading to the band's main dressing room. He presses his ear against the door, unable to hear anything. That either means they're good or Eli is dead, Ryan thought. The drummer slowly opens the door, only to see a pair of pants on the floor and the sounds of Eli and Anna. He immediately closes the door before running back to the room.

"Well, I'm traumatized!" Ryan says as he collapses on the couch next to Grace. "See! I knew they'd make up!" Bobby suddenly says causing Beth to throw a pillow at him.

"Ow! What was that for?!" The brunette rubs his arm dramatically even though the pillow didn't even hit his arm. "You know what!" Beth says.
