Anna's Apartment ¹² ⁱⁿ ᵗʰᵉ ᵃᶠᵗᵉʳⁿᵒᵒⁿ
Eli rubbed his sweaty palms on his jeans, trying to calm his nerves at Anna's doorstep. She had no idea he was even in the same state as her, let alone at her apartment building. While Eli had spent the whole day on a plane to New York, Anna spent it watching reruns of Gilmore Girls and doing self-care.
A knock at the door distracted Anna from her show, Mittens was the first to leap off the bed to investigate. "Who is it Mittens?" Anna takes a sip of wine from her glass as she walks closer to the door. "Meow." Mittens responds.
As Anna opens the door, her jaw falls to the floor seeing her boyfriend standing right in front of her. His brunette hair was messy and he was wearing a plain gray hoodie. A wide smile was plastered on his face as he looks at the girl he loves standing in front of him, wine glass in hand.
"Drinking early I see..." Eli is the first to say anything. Anna doesn't say a thing just wrapping her arms around him in a warm embrace. Eli's arms snake around her waist, the two stay like that for a minute before Anna let's go. "I- What are you doing here?" Anna asks dumbfounded.
"Well to be completely honest, I wanted to see Mittens," Eli says crouching down to pick up a curious Mittens. Mittens purrs in Eli's arms as he pets him. "Well, I can't blame you for that one..." Anna says with a chuckle.
The couple find their way inside of Anna's Apartment, Anna finds herself forever grateful that she managed to shave her legs earlier today. Eli immediately collapses on her bed, tapping a spot for her to lie down next to him. "Making yourself at home already?"
Anna crawls to the spot next to him, laying in his arms. "you know I really missed you..." Eli says before kissing her on the temple. A smile grows on Anna's face. "You have no idea how much I missed you!" Anna one ups him, kissing him on the lips. Before she got pull away, Eli pulls her back in causing a giggle to leave Anna's mouth. A smile places itself on the couple's face as the roll around the bed. Neither of them pulling away for air.
"Let me take you out," Eli says finally pulling away. He looks down at Anna, who has had a smile on her face since he arrived. "Okay, where?" Anna giggles as she looks up at the Irish boy above her. Anna could look at Eli for hours and never get bored. He is a sight for sore eyes.
"It's a surprise, just wear your best gallery attire." He giggles back making Anna's heart flutter. The two get off the bed, Eli lets Anna get ready first because she'll take the longest to get ready. The couple get ready in no time, Eli made sure to pack his nicest shirt at the top of his luggage, knowing he'd want to take Anna out tonight.
