Matty Healy's voice flowed through the speakers as A and B lounged in Anna's bedroom. Beth was lying on Anna's bed, her head hanging off of the side as she watched her best friend do her make-up. The two felt like they were back in high school. They would always hang out after school at Anna's house, the music they had found on Tumblr always playing.
It had been a couple of days since Beth and Tommy first came to visit. The couple talked and Tommy decided to go back to Dublin alone. Beth was disappointed but also happy because her best friend was turning 24 soon. So she stayed to party with Anna.
Anna had small talk with Eli here and there but neither of them mentioned the little situation. Anna was mad that Eli would just brush off her feelings like that and Eli was confused about how the conversation got to that.
"You know what we should do today?" Beth says, her face turning all red from being upside down for too long. She liked the newfound rush. "What?" Anna turns from applying her lip balm to look at her friend. Beth sits up from lying down, turning her body to look at Anna. She had always been beautiful. Recently Beth helped Anna dye her hair back to brunette, blonde was getting to be too much.
"We should go to a club!" Beth says getting up to stand by her friend. "A club? Beth I think you're forgetting my birthday is tomorrow-" Anna chuckles at her friend as she puts her makeup away. "I remember, but we should still party a day early." Anna looks at Beth with knowing eyes. This was just a way to get over the whole Tommy-Ryan incident. According to Beth, she hadn't talked to Ryan since Tommy found out. Ryan doesn't know Tommy found out though and still tries to contact her from time to time. It takes everything in Beth to not respond.
"Cmon onn, it'll be funnn!!!" Beth gives Anna puppy eyes which causes her to break. She could use a break. Anna knew better than anyone that avoiding her problems never worked out. However, tomorrow was her birthday and she deserved to let some stress off. "fine, but you have to promise not to go crazy!" Beth lets out a squeal before running to find a nice outfit.
Meanwhile, Elijah was three thousand miles away in Brussels, Belgium. The lads had dragged him out of bed to explore, and it was really lovely. Elijah just felt off knowing that he left things with Anna a bit weird. It was almost her birthday in Belgium, he had ordered flowers to be sent to her door tomorrow. He thought about messaging her but he never did. He didn't know how she would take it.
