Anna's Job
ˡᵘⁿᶜʰᵗⁱᵐᵉ

The clock on the office breakroom wall never seemed to stop ticking. There sat Anna, alone with her, her salad, and her thoughts. Her interaction with Josh left her conflicted, was she ready to see both Rob and Eli again? Was she ready to see Eli again?

Anna's thoughts were disrupted by a tall Aussie man sitting across from her. "In your thoughts again?" His accent is thick as he looks intently at the brunette girl, his thick black glasses at the tip of his nose.

"Huh- Oh! Coen," Anna looks up from her salad to find the charming young man sitting across from her. In the short time that Anna has been working at her current office, she has gotten quite close with Coen. She considers him one of her closest friends in New York and can always go to him when she needs a shoulder to cry on.

They meet in the elevator on Anna's first day at work, he commented on the heavy snow which Anna laughed at. They got to talking and have been inseparable since.

Coen knows about Eli and Rob, if it were up to him he'd knock them both out for being such douches. Coen especially despises Eli, he's seen videos of him online and he's not a fan. He knows he can treat Anna better than both of them can, it's only a matter of time before Anna sees that.

"um...yeah actually. I got invited to a show..." Anna slowly looks down at her salad, avoiding her male best friend's eyes. "A show?! a- ohhh" Realization quickly hits Coen as he figures out it's not just any show, it's their show. "take me with you." Anna's eyes shoot up, analyzing the chiseled face in front of her.

"What-"

"I'm being serious A! We'll have the best time and I'll make sure no one messes with you." A smirk forms on Coen's light pink lips, his green eyes twinkling in the white lighting of the breakroom.

Laughter fills the air as Anna stumbles back to her apartment with a couple of her girlfriends. It had been her friend Chelsea's twenty-second birthday and they decided to go clubbing to celebrate. The streets of Dublin looked quite nice at this time of night, which was technically the morning.

Anna had promised Rob that she wouldn't be out late, just a couple of hours. A couple of hours soon turned to several though, time slips away from you very easily when you're drunk. "gIrlS, I'll see you later, call me when you guys get home-" Anna juggles with her keys, trying to find the right one as she separates from the group.
