Chapter 22 - Revenge?

It's been seven years since the last time I saw my parents and I missed them already. Now, here's my brother standing in front of me looking so puzzled and wondering why he see me here.

"Kuya." I whispered pero tulala pa din siya. I can't forget that day na nawala ako and my parents probably think that I died because of that Amethyst. I can't forgive that evil witch!

For many years, namuhay ako na puro tanong sa isipan ko. I questioned myself, my worth and who am I.

"Okay. I am gonna tell you a story." I told my brother and grabbed his hands then we sat on a bench near us.

**** Flashback ****

This was a gloomy day. I feel happy right now. Sabi kasi ni kuya mamasyal raw kami sa mall  kasama si Ate Amethyst, girl friend ni kuya.

Nandito kami ngayon sa isang store na pagma-may ari daw nina Ate Amethyst. Busy ako sa makikinig ng music sa MP3 nadala dala ko, si kuya naman nag paalam na magre-rest room lang siya sandali and si Ate Amethyst is just seating in front of me nung biglang may dumating na lalaki at hinila nito si Ate Amethyst papalayo, nag aalala ako sakaniya kaya sinundan ko siya. Bago pa man ako makasulpot sa harap nila eh naring ko nang tinawag nung lalaki si Ate ng "Babe."

"Nahihibang ka na? I won't leave Gabrielle over you. Isa pa, I am just in the beginning of my revenge on them. So, get lost." Rinig kong mariing wika niya do'n sa lalaki.

"Revenge? He is just using kuya Gabrielle?" I whispered. I was about to step back nung masaga ko 'yung picture frame na nasa table na nnasa likod ko dahilan para mapukaw ang atensyon nila.

"Ano yo'n?" Tatakbo na sana ako nung biglang sumulpot sa harapan ko si Ate Amethyst.

"What the? Did you heard anything?" Mariin nitong tanong sa'kin kaya umiling ako. I was about to go when she pulled me back.

"Wala kang nakita at mas lalong wala kang narinig. Do you understand?" Mariin pa niyang wika and she pulled my hair.

"No! I will make sure na malalaman ni kuya na may masama kang balak sakaniya!" Giit ko sakaniya at nagulat ako nung bigla niya na lang akong itulak sa may hagdanan. Feeling ko unti unti akong nanghina. I slowly got unconscious.

"I don't know what she mean by that revenge but I one thing is for sure, that she's a bad person kuya. After I fell from the stairs siguro ay inisip nila na patay na'ko because they dump me on the street but luckily someone helped me." I can see the shocked in my brother's eyes while listening to my story.

"Ilang taon din akong nawalan ng alaala dahil sa head injury. I questioned myself Kuya. I am afraid because I knew no one around me." Tears slowly failing through my eyes at lumapit si Kuya sa'kin para yakapin ako.

"I'm sorry that it happened to you." He whispered.

"Buong akala namin nawala ka at may kunuha sa'yo at yo'n ang bagay na pinanindigan ni Amethyst mapa-hanggang ngayon." Saad pa niya habang yakap yakap ako.

"Kuya, bago bumalik 'yung alaala ko, I captured a video that you maybe needed. It was just for memories pero mukhang puwede mong magamit yan as evidence. Naglalakad ako nov'n  sa isang lugar kung saan tahimik na maaliwalas ang simoy ng hangin." I described the place then I handed my phone on me.

Kita ko sa mga mata ni Kuya ang galit habang pinapanood 'yung video.

"Tama ako, may kinamalan nga siya sa pagkawala ni Elle." I heard him said and took a deep sigh.

"Is she your wife, kuya?" I asked he nodded and smiled. "Yes, and I guess you will like her the way Mom does because she's a lovely lady." Pagmamalaking wika pa nito.

"I'm glad you're back!" Mangiyak-ngiyak niyang sabi taoos ay ginulo niya ang buhok ko at niyakap ako. I miss having a big brother kahit pa 3 years lang 'yung gap namin dalawa ni Kuya eh we used to be so close with one another sayang nga lang at hindi ako nakapunta sa kasal niya.

Inangat  ko yung ulo ko para makita si Kuya. "What's your plan kuya?" I asked out of curiosity and then he smiled at ms. "Ako nang bahala do'n, you've had enough. So, don't worry about it." Saad pa niya then fix himself and shed his tears.

"Halikana, sigurado akong matutuwa sina Mommy at Daddy na makita ka." Aya niya sa'kin na kina-excite ko. Sa wakas, for how many years magiging kompleto na din kami.

  Nagtataka ako kung bakit kami sa Hospital dumiretso ni Kuya. I look at him but he just smiled at me and path my shoulders.

"Ma." I heard kuya called my mom.

"Ma, I know you are mad at me but I have a surprise for you and Dad." Rinig kong wika ni Kuya mula sa room nung Hospital room. The door was slightly open so he look at me signaling to come inside. Parang hindi mapinta ang mukha ng parents ko nung nakita nila ako. My mom is in a hospital bed and dad immediately ran to ms just to hug me.

"Celestea, anak bubay ka." Mom whispered while crying then I started to told them everything that I told kuya Gabrielle. They seemed not surprised though, they are more upset then surprised.

"Sinasabi ko na nga ba, Gabrielle. She's evil!" Rinig kong mariing komento ni Mommy sa mga sinabi ko.

"I already broke up with her but I have a plan, Mom. Trust me." Pagtitiyak ni Kuya Mommy then we end up talking fod how many hours about life and everything. Grabe, we missed so many milestones in each other's lives. 

Gabrielle

Sa lahat ng nalaman ko, hindi ko na alam kung meron ba talgang naging totoo samin ni Amethyst. I felt like I wasted half of my life for someone like her. Dapat una pa lang nung kinasal kami ni Elle eh nag-focus na ko sakaniya. Sana tinuon ko ang atensyon ko sakaniya edi sana mas maaga kong na-realized na kaya ko pala siyang mahalin because she is much worthy than Amethyst.

Mahigpit ang hawak ko sa phone na ibinigay ng kapatid ko. "Elle, nasaan ka na? Okay ka lang kaya?" I whispered to myself while looking at this phone.

But what I am curious about is what Amethyst mean by "revenging on me?" Did I do something wrong in the past?

Nagpaalam ako kina Mommy at nag-desisyon akong puntahan si Amethyst. I have no choice, the only way to know the truth is stick with her and I won't be able to know the truth if I will continue to avoid and distance myself to her.

Nakita ko si Amethyst sa isang Coffee shop kung saan siya madalas na nagpapalipas ng oras. She seemed surprised and happy to see me. "Gabrielle, what.. brings you here?" Nagtatakang tanong niya when she saw me. I just smiled at her. "I wanna see you, Amethyst. I just wanna say sorry about what happened last time." Parang nabuhayan siya ng loob sa mga sinabi ko kaya lumapit siya sa'kin at niyakap ako.

"I knew it, Gabrielle. Hindi mo ko matitiis." She said while still hugging me.

I don't know if this is the right decision but I need to find answers and most especially I need to find where Elle is. I will do anything even if it means that I have to go back to Amethyst.

"We can start again right? Don't worry, we will talk to my parents." I tried to assured her and didn't dare to mention Elle's name during our conversation and how are we planning to reach out to my parents. Of course, I'll talk to them first and will hide the fact that my sister is back not until I get the information I needed to file a case against Amethyst and end all her delusions.
