Children of Moon

Chapter 1

"Vampires and warewolves have been enemies for thousands of years and they've been on each others throats whenever they crossed paths with each other. And this revalvary had caused the lost of lives for both sides. So the leaders from both sides made an agreement not to fight with each other.

But these kinds of agreement cannot be placed just with words. They needed a deposit. So they decided to marry a warewolf and a vampire and build a bond to seal the deal. But every agreement needed to be renewed.

So, once in a every 150 years a warewolf and a vampire from two main clans get married to renewal the agreement."

"But we don't do that tradition anymore Mr. Jack." One of the students in the class interrupted the teacher and it also interrupted the thoughts of a beautiful boy in the class.

"Yes Pond, that's because we are more civilized than our ancestors and we don't need some rituals to not to fight with them."

"I'm not sure if they think the same though. Those dogs still think they are better than us but can't even walk fast."

Every one in the class laughed at the Pond's remark. But teacher looked like he was disappointed.

"You should be thankful that we are not keeping this tradition anymore. Otherwise your friend would be marring a vampire this year."

Whole class went silent and all the heads turned to look at the beautiful boy sitting next to Pond. He was flinched by the teacher's words but managed not to show anything and smiled a little.

"Oh Mr. Jack, Don't even mention it. If Dunk ever married that dick head his life would be a living hell. And that-"

"Stop it Pond, You are embarrassing me." Dunk hit Pond's head and he stopped talking.

"Thank you Dunk. Only you can stop this one from talking."

Then the bell rings. It was the last subject for the day so everyone hurry to go out. Vampires' schools usually start in the evening and finished at night because they can't tolerate the sun. But over the years they have used to it. But some of them still not used to it. Such as Dunk. He can't stay in the sun more than 5 minutes.

Dunk came out of the school with his two friends Pond and Fourth. They were friends with each other from their childhood.

Dunk is the only son of the main vampire clan. His family is respected by the all vampires. Dunk's father is the leader of the vampire clan and Dunk is next in line.

"So, if that culture really exists today, do you have to marry him?"

Fourth asked while they walked in to the parking lot. All of them have their own vehicles. Both Dunk and Fourth ride cars and Pond rides a bike.

"Shut up Fourth. That playboy dog does not deserve my friend. He is from a pure blood vampire family."

"So as him. I heard his family is one of the first families gifted by the moon goddess."

"Why are you speaking on his behalf. Are you friends with him or what?"

Pond was getting angry at Fourth. He hates werewolves to his guts. So, he gets angry whenever someone talks good about them.

"Stop it you two. I really don't know about these traditional things but I believe that if two people are meant to be together they will be together."

Dunk interrupted Pond and Fourth. He did not want his friends to fight over those small matters.

"Hey, it's weekend. How about we hit the club tonight? We haven't been there in ages."

Fourth said when they were about to get on the cars. Both Dunk and Pond liked the idea. They had a very busy week and wanted to relax a bit.

First thing Dunk notice was the loud noise inside the club. Then the smells of all the people inside. Specially other vampires and werewolves. Dunk has a strong ability to identify the smells. He can differentiate each smell than the other vampires. It was one of the abilities he had being a pure blood vampire. With this ability he identified three unique smells inside the club. It was from werewolves and Dunk knew exactly who them were. He just hope Pond would not cross paths with them tonight. He was tired from stopping Pond getting into fights with werewolves, specially those three and Dunk had no idea why Pond hate them so much.

Dunk was not that lucky that night. He saw those three werewolves inside the club, near the bar. Drinking from there glasses.

"Great. My day just ruined." Pond started and Dunk sighed to himself.

"Just don't pay attention to them. We are here to enjoy. So enjoy." Fourth said in a cheerful manner.

"You guys find a table. I'll get the drinks."

Dunk went to the bar and Fourth drag Pond to a table. Two of the three werewolves looked at Dunk when he came to the bar and Dunk return the smile.

"Hey man. Didn't see you around for a while." One of the werewolves came to Dunk with his glass in a hand.

"Hey Gemini, got busy lately." Dunk replied after ordering drinks.

"Didn't your angry vampire friend come with you today." The other asked and laughed.

"Seriously Phuwin, stop messing with him. I'm tired of cleaning the all the fuss he makes."
Dunk said to the other sighing to himself.

"It's quite fun to tease him."

"You two never learn a lesson. One day one of you will get killed by the other."

"How is the things with the clan house? Is the everything going fine." Gemini asked changing the topic.

"Why don't you ask your friend here? He is always there." Dunk said turning his head on the direction of the silent person and he turned towards Dunk after hearing him.

"Joong never say anything about clan house." Gemini complaint. But Joong only smirked and pay attention to the glass in his hand.

"What is there to say anyway.. It's all boring convos." Dunk said while paying for his drinks.

"I better go to my friends. Or Pond will come looking for me." Dunk took the drinks and left the bar. But he didn't know that a pair of eyes was looking at him until he vanish among the crowd.

Author's Note

So this is the first chapter. And this is my first long story. I have no idea what kind of turns this story will take because I'm still writing the beginning.. Let's hope for the best. And give your love for my story..
