Chapter 22

Dunk woke up feeling a cold breeze in his face. He was surprised to see that he was sleeping in the mattress on the balcony. He was sure he fell sleep on the bed. Then he remembered everything from yesterday night and his whole face started to blush. He turned around and saw the sleeping figure next to him. Dunk realised that he was sleeping on his chest.

Joong looked so peaceful when sleeping.  Dunk couldn't stop but stare at his perfect face. He had double eyelashes, a perfect nose and full lips. Dunk's eyes traveled around Joong's whole face.

"Like what you see?" Joong asked without opening his eyes. Dunk was startled. He slapped Joong's chest.

"How long were you awake?"

"I was already awake when you woke you up." Joong said now opening his eyes. Dunk stared at his brown honey eyes and Joong stared back. Time seemed to froze at the moment. Both of didn't realise that they were leaning towards eachother.

Both closed their eyes as their lips met. It was a tender yet passionate kiss filled with love they shared for eachother. The kiss deepened and Joong's hand around Dunk's waist tightened. Dunk realised this will lead into something for if they continued. So he pulled away from Joong.

"We need to go back today." Dunk said pressing his hands on Joong's chest.

"Do we have to? Can't we stay here forever?" Joong asked and started to kiss Dunk's neck.

Dunk lost at the thought for a moment. Can they really stay here? Without going back. Away from all his troubles. Forgetting the Wendigos that coming after him. It would be nice to live here loke his grandparents. They can be farmers.

"Ah!" Joong's sudden bite pulled Dunk back into reality.

"You were distracting. What were you thinking?"

"Nothing." Dunk said. But Joong saw Dunk's sad face. He wanted to ask Dunk but he didn't want to force him. Joong put Dunk's head back in his chest and sniff kissed his hair.

"Everything will be fine. Don't worry." He reassured Dunk and Dunk breath a sigh in Joong's chest enjoying the moment.

In the evening Joong and Dunk got ready to go back home. Even though they stayed for a day it felt like a life time for them.

"Listen to me boys, in future you'll have to face so much challenges, but everyone of them is a test for you. So face them with bravery. " Dunk's grandma advised them.

"And don't worry. You'll find all the answers at the right time." Dunk's grandpa said but neither Joong nor Dunk understood what he meant.

They said goodbye to grandparents and hit the road. This time Dunk took the wheels since it was evening and He could drive at night.

They drove for the whole night feeling night breeze and enjoying each others company. Both of them didn't felt that happy in a while. It felt like something had completed inside them. It was like they had found the missing piece in their life that completes the puzzle.

Dunk felt tired when the sun started to rise. Joong saw him yawned few times.

"Are you tired? Should we take a break?"

"No.. I'm fine.. But I'm hungry. Let's find a place to eat."

The area was deserted. It took them a while to find a restaurant to eat. Joong went to the counter to order and Dunk found a seat for them.

Dunk was sitting near a window. He looked out of the window. His eyes widened with surprise when she saw a old lady near their car. He recognised her. She was the same lady he saw few days ago when they were going to his grandparents. Xunk didn't think twice. He got up from his seat and went to outside. But the lady was no longer there. There were no sight of her.
