Chapter 23

"So, me and Phuwin dig out some old documents from library and found out almost everything you said just now." Pond started to speak but Forth interrupted him from the beginning.

"Wait.. You are telling me you and Phuwin work together to find these things?" Forth asked widening his eyes. Phuwin rolled his eyes on him.

"Yes we did. Why do you all look shocked?" Pond asked. He was clearly annoyed with his friends.

"How come you both alive then? One of you should be dead by now." Joong also started to tease them and both Pond and Phuwin's face became red with anger.

"You know what, let's end this discussion here. I'm not gonna tell you guys anything." Phuwin said angrily and got up from his seat.

"Hey, calm down and sit. They were just teasing you." Dunk grabbed Phuwin's hand before he leave and make him sit back in the seat.

"What else did you found out?"

"Most of it same as you told. But there are some differences."

"What?"

"First, The Wendigos almost succeeded with the black magic. To succeed this magic, there are some conditions to full fill."

"One is selected mates should be soulmates. Both of them should be pure blood. And most importantly they should be in love. Without anyone from them, the magic won't be succeeded."

Joong and Dunk looked at each other worriedly and it didn't go unnoticed by both Pond and Phuwin.

"When the last time those Wendigos attacked they found the perfect mates. But before they could succeed with the magic one of mates stopped them."

"How?"

"It says he killed himself behalf of his partner."

All of their eyes widened with surprise. They did not expect something like this at all.

"And there is more to it. These dark magic rituals can be done only on blood moon days."

Dunk remembered what old vampire lady said to him the other day. He haven't told Joong anything about it yet.

"What is a blood moon day?" Fourth asked the same question which was in Dunk's mind.

"It is the full moon day with a lunar eclipse."

"Wait.. Isn't something like that happening in the next week?" Gemini asked.

"Yes. Our powers are lowest at the lunar eclipse days. It is our weakest moment. And the best moment to attack us." Dunk said looking far away. His eyebrows had frowned as he was stressed.

"Something bad going to happen. I can feel it." Pond said looking at his friends. Phuwin noded his head and sighed.

"So our fathers knew all this and they still decided to arrange our marriage."

Joong said angrily. He would have crushed the glass on his hand if it wouldn't be for Dunk who was holding his hand.

"Well you guys don't need to worry so much about it. All you have to do is not to fall in love." Gemini said smiling like he made the most hilarious joke. But no one laughed Gemini immediately shut his mouth.

Dunk got up from his seat and left the cafe and Joong followed him.

"What's wrong with them?" Forth asked confused. He had no idea what was going on with his friends.

Pond breathed a heavy sigh and grabbed his own hair. Phuwin patted his shoulder.

"It's already too late Forth. They are already in love." Phuwin said looking at the door where his friends just went.
