Chapter 11

Dunk sighed for the nth time on that night. He was currently sitting on the one of the balconies in the elders' house. Medam Elizaa prepared them the best guest room in the house.

"What are you looking at?" Joong asked coming to Dunk.

"Even though it's raining the garden looks beautiful at night. " Dunk said looking at the garden below them. Even though it was night time they could clearly see in the dark.

"Yeah"

"Joong, Why are those Wendigos coming after me?" Even though Dunk asked the question he knew that Joong did not know the reason. Joong wanted to say that he didn't know why. But he decided not to say that.

"Whatever the reason is Dunk, I won't let them get to you. So don't worry." Joong said patting Dunk's shoulder. Dunk noded his head.

"Let's go to sleep. You look like you can fell sleep on the balcony." Dunk said looking at Joong. He really looked tired.

"I really can." Joong said getting into the bed. Dunk turned off the lights and layed beside Joong.

"Sweet dreams Joong."

"Sweet dreams Dunk."

Joong fell asleep as soon. Dunk stayed awake looking at the ceiling and thinking about everything that elders said. He felt sleep even without knowing.

Dunk woke up in the middle of the night. The rain had stopped. He looked at the person who was sleeping beside him. Dunk thought Joong looked cute when he was sleeping. And he looked peaceful.

Dunk got up from the bed and went to the balcony. He saw that the whole sky was cleared like it didn't rain few hours ago. Moon was shining brightly and the whole garden shines with the moon light. Dunk smiled to himself seeing the beauty of the garden with the moonlight. He could smell different flowers. Most of the scents he could identified.

Among those all the scents Dunk smelled a familiar scent. He looked through the garden carefully and spot a small pond. Then he saw his favourite flowers, moon lily bloomed around the pond. Dunk wanted to show them to Joong. But looking at his peaceful face Dunk didn't want to wake him up.

Dunk jump out of the balcony into the garden. He went straight to the pond. The water is shining with the moon light and the moon lilys also shining brightly with moon light. It's silver colour petals looked very beautiful. Dunk touched them with so much care.

"Moon Lilys are beautiful flowers. Yet no one can own them." Dunk startled with the voice behind him. He saw one of the elders behind him. He was also a vampire. Dunk surprised that he couldn't scent or feel him approaching.

"It will bloom at night, and wither at night. Once you plucked them they'll turn into ashes." Dunk said smiling lovingly at the flowers.

"But the one who knows how to treat them can pluck them easily." The elder said and bend down to the flower. Then he plucked it gently. Dunk looked at him. He was not surprised. The elder gave the flower to Dunk.

"Joong doesn't believe this flower exists." Dunk said looking at the flower in his hand.

"No one believes. Until they see it themselves." The elder said watching the moon.

Dunk looked at the elder curiously. It looked like the elder wanted to say something to Dunk but he couldn't find the worlds.

"Do you want to tell me something?" Dunk asked. He couldn't bear the silence between them. The elder looked at Dunk. His eyes showed so many emotions.

"Don't take this as an offence boy, but I must say you are a threat to our world. Lots of lives will be in danger because of you. Specially your husband. He will risk everything to save you."

Dunk was surprised after hearing what the elder said. He never understood whether the elders hate him or just dislike him. He still couldn't figure it out.

"I will do the same for him. I will burn the world for him." Dunk said determined. His confidence shown in his eyes.

"That is what I am fearing of boy. You will definitely burn the world."

"I don't understand what you are saying sir. Do you think I will be the destruction of our world?"

"I am not a seer. I can't say what will happen in the future. But I have seen what happened in the past. So I don't want see it repeats."

With saying that the elder went inside the mansion. Dunk wanted to know more about what happened in the past. But he knew that if the elder doesn't want to talk about it he can't force him.

Dunk went back to their room. Joong was still peacefully sleeping. Dunk laid down beside Joong. He turned to the Joong and think about what the elder said.

The elder was right. Joong will do everything to save Dunk. Dunk know that. Dunk will do the same. There was no doubt about that. Dunk fell asleep looking at Joong and thinking about elders.

Next day morning Joong and Dunk left the elders' mansion promising them to visit them again. But Dunk doubt that they'll visit them anytime soon.

"You are quite. What happened?" Joong asked Dunk on the way. Usually Dunk would talk lot when traveling. But today he was just watching out of the window. Dunk sighed.

"Nothing. I was thinking about the history that elders mentioned." Dunk said. He wanted to say Joong about what the elder said to him. But at the same time he didn't want to worry him. So he decided to keep it to himself.

"Our fathers know it. They are not telling us anything." Joong sounded bit angry. Dunk could understand him. He felt the same.

"Let's find it out. If elders and our fathers know it there can be other people who knows it. Let's find them and find the truth." Dunk was determined. He wanted to find the truth. He didn't want to hurt his loved ones. He wanted to protect them. Dunk was determined to go to any length to do so.
