A/n : In this chapter narrative is Dunk's grandparents.

"Vampires, werewolves and Wendigos, all of them were blessed by the moon goddess for immortality together. All of us were rivals by nature. But we didn't try to harm each other.

Vampires and werewolves can be rebellious. But we were never greedy for the power. But the other hand Wendigos were different. The more they get the power. The more they become aggressive.

Wendigos had power to steal our powers. When they found out that they started to kill us. Both vampires and werewolves. We had no choice. We had to save our own kinds. So we decided to join hands against Wendigos. That was how the first marriage between werewolves and vampires happened."

"So it was not because we were fighting with eachother?" Dunk asked suprised. Dunk's grandpa shook his head.

"Even with joined forces Wendigos were powerful than us. So we decided to ask help from moon goddess.

Moon goddess were furious to know that we were fighting with eachother. She took the blessings back and made us all mortal again. We will live for centuries, but we will die someday. And also she made us powerful than Wendigos. She couldn't take Wendigos powers, because they had them when they were born.

We chase them away from our lands, our territories. When they leave they promised that they will come for the revenge someday.

We knew they would come someday. So we decided to keep the marriage as a tradition. To remember ourselves that we have a common enemy to face. " Dunk's grandpa sighed at the end and it gave a feeling that story does not end there.

"But that decision brought us more dangers and we were never ready for what was coming.

The Wendigos came back for their revenge. But this time they had found new techniques.

They had found some dark magic that made them powerful than us. But they needed to do a ritual to finishe the process. For that they needed a pure blood vampire and a pure blood werewolf who were mates."

Joong and Dunk looked at eachother. They had no idea how the story is going to end. But both of them could guess where it heading.

"We understood that the decision we made at that time was not the best. Infact it was the destruction of our own.

We were able to win against the Wendigos. But it cost lots of lives of our own. We never thought the Wendigos will come back again. And I can tell they are more aggressive now."

"But what happened to those mates? Did they survive?"

"Love is something so beautiful, yet dangerous. It can build a world as well as destroy one."

Dunk's grandma said. In her voice it was very evident that there were more to the story. But they were also not going to tell them. They have to find it another way. But now they know more about those Wendigos.

It was already dawn when Dunk's grandparents end the story. By the time Joong and Dunk were so sleepy. The exhaustion from the long journey was finally catching up with them.

"You two, go and take rest. You can go to town in the evening.

Dunk's grandma said them when she saw Joong yawned for the nth time. So they obeyed the grandma and went to their room.

"Joong, what do you think happened to those mates." Dunk asked. They were now on the bed. Joong was laying beside Dunk facing his back to Dunk. Dunk was looking at the ceiling.

Joong turned around hearing Dunk. The bed was smaller than their bed in home. So they were closer to each other. Dunk turned his head to Joong. Their faces were so close that they could feel each other's breath. Joong sighed before speak.

"I don't know Dunk. May be they survived and lived longer." Joong said. He sounded sleepy. Dunk felt bad for not letting him sleep. He turned his head back to ceiling and sighed. He felt Joong moved closer to him.

Joong put his hand under Dunk's head and started to stroke his hair. Dunk suprised with Joong's sudden action but didn't said anything.

"You are stressing about something you can't control Dunk. Let's face whatever happens in the future together."

Joong's words were so sincere. Dunk was relieved that he had Joong with him. He knew Joong will always be there for him. He always knew what's going on in Dunk's mind.

Dunk eyes felt heavy and Joong's gentle touch make him sleepy. He closed his eyes. Dunk felt feather like touch on his forehead before he drifted to sleep completely.

It was noon when they both woke up and they had missed the breakfast. Dunk's grandma had prepared them lunch.

Joong wanted to go to the sea but the sun was too bright for Dunk to go out. So thry decided to go to town instead.

First they went to the market. It was crowded with people. There were different types of vegetables and fruits. Joong and Dunk haven't seen most of them before. Then there was another section which sells only sea foods. There were crabs, prawns, different fishes and some other creatures that they didn't know the names.

They went to a coffee shop near the market. It was owned by the two vampires. They were very kind to Joong and Dunk. They gave them lots of foods and snacks.

When they were walking around the street Joong and Dunk saw a flower shop. They couldn't help but step inside the shop seeing beautiful flowers.

Dunk was looking at a flower bouquet when Joong came to him hiding something in his back. He was smiling ear to ear.

"What are you hiding?" Dunk asked smiling.

"Guess" Joong's smile only widened.

Dunk didn't have to guess. He smelled it. He could definitely say what flowers Joong was hiding in his back. It was Dunk's second favourite flowers.

"Pink chrysanthemums."

Joong smiled and took out the small flower bouquet. Then he threw it to Dunk. Dunk caught it on time.

"That's not how you give flowers to a person." Dunk said. But Joong was already leaving the shop. Dunk ran after him.

It was already evening when they left the town. They went straight to the beach since sun was setting.

Both of them sat on the sand. Dunk was still wearing his sunglasses because of the direct sunlight.

The sun descended in a fiery embrace with the ocean, casting a warm glow across the sky. A palette of oranges, pinks, and purples painted the horizon, mirroring the serene waves that whispered against the shore.

Dunk put his head on Joong's shoulder and closed his eyes. Joong put his hand around Dunk's waist and pulled him closer.

"I wish time stopped right now." Dunk said. His voice sounded like he was carrying all the burden in the world.

"What? Do you like to stay with me that much?" Joong asked smiling.

"Yeah. Having you with me is enough for me right now."

Joong didn't said anything to that. But Dunk felt his grip tightened on his waist. Joong was silently promising him that he'll be there for him

They stayed like that until sun disappeared and stars started to shine. Moon had risen and it was also shining brightly. Dunk's grandma call them for dinner and they decided to go inside.

Dinner table ws also filled with lots of foods and drinks. It was warm as always. For a moment there Joong and Dunk could forget all their worries and enjoy their time together.
