Chapter 9

Dunk woke up with a sudden light hitting his skin. It started to burn and Dunk felt like his whole body was on fire. He opened his eyes and saw Joong opening the curtains.

"Shiaa Joong. Close that curtains. My whole body is burning." Dunk cried trying to cover his body with the blanket as much as possible.

"Shit" Joong closed the curtains soon and came to Dunk.

"I'm so sorry Dunk. I totally forgot. Are you alright?" Joong asked worriedly and Dunk came out from the blanket.

"I'm fine. It's just that morning light is so bright. I can't bear it."

"Do you want to have some breakfast?"

"No. I'm going to sleep more."

"Okay." Joong left room closing the door behind him and Dunk went back to sleep. Since he was a vampire he was not used to wake up early at all.

Dunk woke up about one in the afternoon and he went downstairs to look for Joong. But he couldn't find him. He found a note on the dining table with foods saying that Joong went to the clan house.

In the evening Dunk decided to make dinner because Joong did not come back until then. Joong came back when he was in the middle of the cooking.

"What are you doing?" Joong asked coming to the kitchen.

"Making dinner."

"Can you cook? Are you sure it's edible?" Joong started to tease Dunk and Dunk got angry.

"No dinner for you." Dunk glared at Joong and continued with the cooking. Joong smiled to himself.

"How's the things with the clan house?" Dunk asked after a few moments.

"Nothing's new. Our pack has calmed down now."

"Have they found anything about those things?"

Joong didn't answer right away. So Dunk stopped what he was doing and looked at Joong. Joong had a serious face and Dunk realised something was wrong.

"What's up Joong?"

"Our fathers, they know something. But they don't say anything to us."

Dunk sighed and turned back to cooking.

"They'll tell us when the right time comes."

Dunk finished cooking and readied the table while Joong take a shower. They both had their dinner in silence.

"Oh.. I forgot to tell you. Our fathers said we can skip college for the week." Joong said after the dinner. They were doing the dishes. Joong was washing the dished and Dunk was wiping them.

"Week? But we'll miss out a lot. And we don't have anything to do at home either." Dunk said. It was really boring for him to stay home whole day.

"Yeah.. I told them. They said we need a rest."

"I have rested enough." Dunk said and finished the dishes. Then both of them cleaned the kitchen together and got ready to bed.

"By the way, my father said we need to go see the elders." Joong said to Dunk after he came out of the shower.

Dunk stopped in his track hearing the word elders. Meeting elders always made him nervous.

Elders are the people who has a great knowledge about their ancients. They are old, but their knowledge about the world is unmatched. Whenever there is a problem everyone seek help from the elders. They don't come to meeting. They only provide advice if they were asked.

The elders are from both vampires and werewolves. No one don't know the real age of these elders. Some says they are centuries old.

Joong and Dunk both had met them few times. Everytime they have a meeting with the elders Dunk felt nervous. These elders liked to talk with riddles. They always figure out what the other is thinking. It was like those elders could see through their souls.

"Can I skip it?" Dunk asked with a worried expression.

"Please.. I don't want to meet them as much as you."

"Those elders hate me. They don't even like to see me."

In the few times Dunk had met the elders he always left a bad impression about himself. He always felt like the elders were unfair and ended up arguing with them. Even the elders of the vampire clan didn't like him much and the feelings were mutual.

"You always end up arguing with them."

"That's because they are unfair. They think I am arrogant because I'm a pure blood. And there is no any advantage being a pure blood. I can't even go in the sun." Dunk said even without taking a breath.

Joong could understand Dunk's feelings. Everyone was expecting so much from Dunk since he was pure blood vampire. All of them think he was powerful than everyone else but no one knew how much pain Dunk had to go through and endure because of that. But Joong knew it all and he always wanted to help Dunk.

"Should we go there tomorrow and meet them? So we can stop stressing out about it." Joong asked.

Dunk looked at him wide eyes. He was not ready face the elders yet. But he would never be ready anyway. If he go the next day and meet them, then it'll be over.

"okay. But we need to get them some gifts." Dunk said and  Joong noded.

"Let's go to the mall and buy something tomorrow evening. So we can visit them at night." Joong suggested.

"Okay. " Dunk agreed and he was going to leave the room when Joong called him.

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Joong asked watching the clock. It was almost 10.30pm. Dunk also looked at the clock.

"It's too early for me to sleep. You can sleep first."

Of course it is. Dunk was a vampire and they were night creatures. Werewolves also hunt at night but not night creatures like vampire.

"Okay then. Good night." Joong said and got ready to sleep. Dunk turned off the lights and left the room.

Sorry.. There's no honey moon. But I think JD in Japan will give us so many moments..
