Jin has killed Ares with the help of Silvester.
The hide-and-seek is finally over.
Jin and Silvester discuss how their first fight with a god has been *a piece of cake*, while Morphius is trying to get a hold of himself to believe what he has seen happen.
*Am I free now? It feels... different!*
Jin and Silvester look at him weirdly and start laughing.
*You ARE free now! You just saw it, didn't you? Anyway, what is your plan for now? Like, what are you going to do with your life now that you don't have to be on the run to hide yourself from a hunter?
You are a demi-god, you know, and strong.
If you want to, you can come with us. We want to see everything the earth has to offer, and as I said, mankind has to be free from gods' bullying.
I do have to add that I think the gods, and with gods, I mean Zeus and his siblings, will soon notice Ares' death. We don't have that much time to spend right now.*
Jin sighs.
*We need to jump now, are you in?*
Morphius is confused by the word „jump" and asks Jin what he means by it. Jin promises to explain right after he decides to follow them to whenever they travel.
*Alright, men of honor, I think my decision is yet to be made. I shall follow you wherever you are willing to go, for I shall not be able to withstand Zeus' rage*
*Whenever!* Jin corrects.
Jin stretches out his arm and holds on to thin air. He flexes his muscles as he tries to move something invisible to the side.
A bright light appears with red, blue, and white sparks around it.
The light takes on the form of a circle.
The heavens roar, and heavy lightning drops down, scattering throughout the land. Jin quickly pulls Silvester and pushes Morphius through the lighting circle, which appears to be a dimension splitting two different locations throughout time—a time-space breach.
Jin shadow-jumps to Ares' sword, picks it up, and rushes to the breach. It closes right behind him.
Seconds after jumping through the breach, Zeus appears...
He is too late!
His eyes glow out of rage...
An explosion of radiation burst out of him...
It roars, loud enough for anyone within a five-kilometer radius to lose his hearing.
A large lightning strike drops from the skies and hits him, teleporting him back home.
Inside the breach
Jin and Silvester are surfing the breach like skateboarders. Morphius, however, isn't happy about what is happening. His stomach roars continuously as he pukes out every meal.
*What sorcery is this? How can you not discharge your intestines? Ughhh*
Jin laughs and shouts happily, *It is time to jump out! This time we are going to visit Af-Ri-Ca. I think I got the hang of jumping... Ok, now!*
He pulls both men out of the breach.
They fall from the sky, bouncing off tree branches, drifting off the ground, and finally landing in a river.
*Damn it, dad! I thought you had this. What the actual hell was that? You missed the ground by a few too many miles. A normal person would have been dead by now! You need to work on that, for real!*
Jin laughs and tells them it's all fun and games. Morphius' head is over the river. Everything caught up in his face is still there.
He laughs again for a longer time. Once again, he tries convincing them. He says, *Come ooon guys, it was totally awesome. What are you jibbering all about? I felt amazing! Damn, I want to do this one more time. Can we try doing this again?*
Silvester and Morphius frown as they shake their heads, telling Jin how crazy he is.
*No, no more!!*
At least no one got hurt, right? The real question is, where and when did they jump?
Trees, summer, birds singing, and a river flowing like it has never been frozen before, ever.
He did say they were going to land in Africa, but where exactly?
Jin walks around to find out where he has jumped.
Hours later...
He rushes back to both men, still not knowing a thing about their location.
*Well, I guess we targeted Africa. I mean, look around you.
It doesn't look like the Southpole anymore.*
Silvester interrupts and tells him it could also be a country that isn't near the South Pole.
*It could be between Continent F and G, or M in summer.*
Jin shakes his head. *I don't think so*, he tells Silvester in disbelief. *I have the feeling this is Africa...*
*But, dad, you do know that Africa is a continent and not a country. You are good at geography, right?
You would know Africa is the ancient Continent C, like the continent in which Egypt is, right?*
Silence...
Jin rolls his eyes to the side and answers with a „yes" in a very high pitch.
*Just pretend that „yes" was in a very powerfully deep tone.*
Once again, he laughs and admits to forgetting about Africa being continent C.
Morphius rubs his chin.
*Yo Morphius, do you have something you want to share with us?* It's obvious; Morphius has an idea.
*Morphius? Are you going to talk or just stand there and keep rubbing your chin?*
He still doesn't answer him, almost like he is mentally somewhere other than with Jin.
*DUDE!!!!!*
He is startled by Jin's shouting. *I'm very sorry; I was thinking about something important. Perhaps my brain has figured out where we are at this exact moment. I have traveled to this area before. It must be on the far west side of the country we escaped from. I still cannot figure it out yet because a lot seems different than what I have explored before.*
Jin's eyes glow with joy, and his pupils take the shape of a white star.
*Sooo, about that feeling of a lot of things being different than you already know... Yeah, we just traveled to your future.
We should be about ninety to a hundred years from where we just left.
Welcome to the future, my friend.*
His star-shaped pupils grow larger. *Man! I am soo excited*
He forms two fists and pulls his arms towards his body while he leans his head forward. *We are on the western side of Continent C, the Westside! Oh, man, that's awesome! I haven't visited this site before.*
He switches his expressions fast after jumping like a happy girl for a minute.
He calms down.
*Now, men of honor...
Before we continue our journey, we are going to rest for a looong time.*
He walks elegantly towards a large shade, plants his staff and new sword into the ground, leans on a tall tree, and sleeps deeply.
