*********************

Sam's body is fine after the explosion. His body doesn't have any signs of scars or wounds.

Jane has seen the last scar heal, leaving no trace of blood on his skin. Though his pants are fully coated with his blood, As for his shirt, it is no more. It didn't make it out whole.

Jane asks Sam about his experience. Also, she is curious about how he is doing. Sam stares at her and notices her skull bleeding.

*What happened to you? Are you alright?*

Jane figures that Sam is trying to change the subject. She insists, *I am not answering before you give me an answer!*.

*What are you going to do now Sam? Tell her the truth or lie?* Samuel asks.

Sam takes a moment for himself. His brain is working faster than a normal brain should. His thinking process is accelerating fast; everything he sees is moving slowly, just like before. This time, he is doing it deliberately.

*What do I tell her now? I could come up with a super nice story that actually might make sense-no, she doesn't deserve that! I think her wound came from whatever that was that happened. But also, she's keeping a secret from me! In her suit, it looks like she has been doing this for a very long time now. Should I ask her about that? No, I shouldn't. It just feels wrong! I will find another opportunity to ask her about it; I hope it isn't too late then.*

He slowly decelerates his thinking and decides not to lie to Jane.

*Alright then, listen. Yes, as it seems, the experiment worked. I have a hunch about what I am capable of, but before I understand myself, I won't be able to give you an accurate answer. I just know I am more than fast enough now. I still need to find out how to handle all... this.* He waves his hands around in the air and points them to the ground. Jane, even though she doesn't like the idea of him not telling her anything, tries to understand his situation and tells him that she is going to wait until he is ready. They cook and have a meal, after which Sam says goodbye and heads back home.

Three weeks later...

Sam is outside training to control his speed. It is hard for him to move at an abnormally fast pace and accelerate his thinking process. His speed doesn't require normal body movements; there are still a few steps attached to it, he thinks.

*Alright, I can now hold it up for like forty seconds. I don't feel tired, but I still can't hold it upright. The farthest I have gone so far is about fourteen kilometers. It's not really that bad, but somehow I always get thrown... dragged away. Nature doesn't seem to like me that much, now does it? I need to figure out a way to keep it up. I might even be able to go faster and farther if I get it under control.* He sits on a tree stem.

*Ok, let's try something different*

This morning, something beautiful happened. Sam was able to let out some of his energy-a spherical shape full of his energy. He saw, heard, and felt almost everything within the sphere.

*What if I focus on this sphere first? I think I am not the only one gifted. Because it actually exists, there might be others like me there, and I have to make sure to let out as little energy as possible. Something like suppressing my aura or so. It should be at a minimum so that even I will have difficulties sensing it. K, let's do this!*

He focuses every ounce of his brain cells on creating the perfect cell. He starts with a sphere to cover a one-kilometer diameter.

*Alright it is working. Now it has to be much thinner.*

He stands upright and stretches both arms to the side. He motivates himself. *Concentrate! Thinner!*

He enlarges the sphere while keeping the energy output stable.
