A new cupboard safe is standing in the corner of Jane’s room. Sam is curious about it.

*Should I open it further? Should I close it? What if she gets mad about me opening it? But why would she leave it open if she doesn’t want me to see what's inside? Maybe this is a test, but what kind of test? Loyalty? Curiousity? Trust? Does she think she knows me enough? Wait, she knows how curious I can be about many things, which would mean she knows I would want to look inside and find out what it is. Waaaaiiit a minute! She is trying to mess with me! Did she plan on making me go crazy about opening or not opening it? She has this all planned out, huh? Ok, then I decide not to open*.

After thirty seconds, he still can't let go of his thoughts.

*Damn it! It looks soo suspicious, it’s not even a normal cupboard or safe or whatever, she must have built this beauty all by herself. A screen...* Sam approaches it and finds a document on the ground, a circuit design.

*it looks modern.*

Not just modern; her technology is something new, something that doesn’t yet exist. Jane is a next level genius!

*The main concept of this plan is something I can put together; it has similarities to what already exists. This, however, is totally different on some levels. No wires, her calculations would mean every signal and every bit of energy... electricity should move freely but targeted to its destination, remarkable! Wirelss technology. Can something like this work tho?*

Sam is amazed by her work and quickly puts the plan back where it belongs. There, he finds another document—a blueprint for a suit—an assasin’s suit.

*What is this? It doesn’t look like something she would just draw out of boredom; it is something she is working on. Nice combination tho; she would look amazing in this one. It is just like my project!
So the new technology she has invented is specifically for this suit! Nice thought; of course, normal technology wouldn’t fit inside something like this. It makes much more sense; it should be able to fix my problems.
I think her invention would be perfect if she adjusted it to nanotechnology. She needs a little bit of spice. This way, she won't need to fit herself inside the suit. Jane, you are a total smartass. I think I’m starting to like you more and faster than I should.
You are somehow a much better version of my existence; you have the talent and knowledge*

She places back the design. Out of curiosity, he looks further inside. He encounters an unusual view.

*What is this, blood? Jane, what the hell have you been doing? Could it be... that the suit is already in use and you are playing a superhero? Please tell me I’m tripping!*

His eyes sweat.

He is shedding tears...

He takes a deep breath and digests what he has found.

The closet’s door opens. Sam rushes back and backflips on Jane’s bed a little too far, hitting his head against the wall before landing his stunt.

*Ouch, what the hell was that? What was that power? What the heeeeeelllll*, he shouts.*

The door opens slower than it should—very slowly.

*Is she trying to mess with me?*

Movements become slower as the door opens. Jane waves around her hair, and that in slow motion...

*I am a speedster, just like the flash! This is my power!*

He turns his head around. After a brief moment, everything turns back to normal. Jane smiles and tells Sam he doesn't need to look to the side, just because a girl walking out of the closet might be naked.

*Even if I were half or completely naked, I wouldn’t mind if you stared at me!*

Sam replies, "No, I... It's just that's how I was raised, and... never mind!*

Jane turns to her cupboard and sees it open. She murmurs to herself and hopes Sam hasn't looked inside yet. She closes it while asking Sam, *I’m sure you realized something new here—I made it myself. What do you think? It can withstand tons of forces. I am working on a project, and of course it needs to be safe from the eyes of others. You want to know what?* Sam nods twice to signify how curious he is about this new project.

*Here comes the truth behind it all. Are you ready, Sammy?*

She reopens it and changes her facial expression completely. She opens one circuit blueprint.

*I think I have achieved a breakthrough! I have found a way to make energy flow more efficiently than we know now. It can easily fit into smaller spaces and make machines more than seventy percent lighter. Lightweight-free Energy Technology (LET). I left out the free part. Sam, do you know what this means? This is a game-changer! Almost everything should be possible! You were right; fiction can be reality, so technically, there is now fiction. Because there is no wire needed, we can easily regulate the temperature and maybe even find a way to draw energy from a hot source... Sam, Sam are you listening?*

Sam awakens from his daydreaming.

*I get it, it's pretty awesome, but it could also make people try things, which later on will hurt them—don't you think!?*

He raised his voice at her. He never does that to anyone!!

He continues, *I’m sorry! I don't know; for a moment there, I was completely overthinking everything again, as I always do. Of course, I'm happy for your discovery and that it will work, but I’m still afraid it’s going to cause you problems. I mean, it’s still nice that these problems are going to make you rich after just one month, after the world has found out about them. Just know that no matter what decision you make, I will try my best to support you. I won’t leave you hanging helplessly!*

Jane explains to Sam that she understands his point.

*I mean, yes, your points are true. I was so focused on working that I didn’t even have the time to think about everything that could go wrong. Even if your point wasn’t accurate, I would still make sure you don’t just speak empty words; after all, the whole theory of it being possible and how it could work was your thinking; I just took it and added my spice to it, like with the resources and the missing calculations. You are an important part of what I do. The most important part is that we do the theory part; I organize and build, and you do the future overthinking thing. Sometimes it gets on my nerves, but you are always right. This makes us the perfect team; we fit perfectly!*

How did this whole situation turn around into some kind of... this!?!

Chapter 25, end.
