Chapter 41 - Sleeping beauty

Nine months later, 2042...

Jane and Blu wonder why Sam hasn't woken up yet. The world has been a mess ever since the puppet master was eliminated. His men in authority have all quit; they know what might happen if they continue with his dynasty.
Jin has spoken to them and warned them about the consequences. He visits Sam for the first time, hoping to find a solution to his unconsciousness.

*So you have finally decided to show up, huh? You do know that it's disrespectful to leave a man behind—the man whose idea it was to get rid of a serious problem of yours, right?*

**Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm sorry, but I had to take care of important things. What matters is that I am here now and might be able to help him out. So, you are saying he hasn't opened his eyes, not even once, ever since... You know?**

*Mhmm, sure! Let me guess, you had to make the world a better place?*

**Yeah, something like that...** Jin says with confidence.

Blu steps in between them and holds them apart. *You guys need to stop! It's about Sam now, this would be his chapter if our lives were to be a written story. So please, just... What can you do about him, Jin?*

Jin is clueless. He came by without a plan. The first thing that comes to mind is the most complex thing he can do.

*Maybe I can tap into his consciousness like he did mine?!*

Jane disapproves of Jin's suggestion. She asks him, *Should this be some kind of revenge to prove that you can also go deep into his head like he did yours? I don't want you to! Besides, it is going to hurt you. He isn't that easy to read or tap into, you know? He is going to kick your ass in there. He will put you to sleep and give you a goodnight kiss on your forehead.*

Blu laughs at Jane's comment, *Are you for real now? Ok, now I am sure you are becoming like him, ahahahaaa! Hey Jane, I know you aren't happy about what Jin did, but he might really be the only one to help us out. Maybe you are right, and Sam isn't going to let him in that easily... Maybe someone whom Sam trusts should go with him.*

**Sam trusts no one! He has said it multiple times, and I know he means it. Maybe someone really close to him? He has been talking about a sister he has never met. We could go find her.**

*He says that because his sister died right after birth. I know. He keeps talking about him having the feeling that she is alive somewhere, but it's just his anxiety or and his craziness. He's crazy sometimes. He doesn't have a sister. Someone close could work, and I know exactly who!*

**Who is it? And by the way, it's and/or!** Jane asks curiously.

*Really? Did you mean to ask that question? Today is an important day for this person.*

**His mom?**

*Come on! It's the twenty-seventh of September; come on, man! It's me! Today is my birthday, guys! I am the one. After all, I am his favorite cousin. Well, at least that's what I call myself.*

**Oh really? I'm sorry, Blu! I didn't know. Alright then, do it!**

**Jin? What are you doing?**
They see Jin kissing Sam on the lips. He believes that it might have something to do with a fairy tale, "The Sleeping Beauty." He asks both Blu and Jane to help out.

*Well, at least we tried. This is my first time kissing him, and he isn't even awake to feel it.* Jane runs her right index finger over her lips as she speaks. Deep down, she wants to take Sam's place. She would rather suffer than see him suffer. She squishes Blu's cheeks and tells him to give his best and bring him back. She needs to tell him about the ownership she has been keeping from him for a while.
