Jin and Silvester are getting better at controlling their energy.

They open their eyes to see the snowflakes flying around.

*It's really beautiful*, Silvester says. Jin laughs at his sentimental son.

*Now, concentrate, Silvester! It’s time to level up!* Jin and Silvester once again look into each other’s eyes without lacking concentration. They move around the snowflakes as fast as they possibly can. So fast, the flakes begin to melt.

Father Jin focuses on maintaining the pressure and temperature in their orbit as Silvester repeats the gestures.

*Dad, something feels different. I am burning from the inside. What am I doing wrong?*

Silvester pushes harder to reach his father’s level. Jin, as smart as he is, realizes the same thing and stops meditating to tell his son, *Dude, you aren't doing anything wrong. You have an element that just doesn’t match mine!*

Silvester doesn't understand what his father is trying to tell him. He tilts his head to the left and asks, What do you mean, „not the same element?“. The entire training session, we were matching every move, and not to mention, we are of the same blood. What do you mean, "not the same"? Just shush for a second and let me concentrate! I need to push more, moorrree, moooooorrreeee! Very soon, I'll get it.*

Silvester's hands glow red-yellow, and the snowflakes are no longer flakes, nor are they cold as snow. They are now surrounded by water. The water is compressed, and the air temperature rises slowly. The water around them is starting to fade away, turning to vapor.

For a few seconds, there is total silence, and then, *kaboom!* A loud explosion, after which there is no water surrounding them.
*Wow, damn, son!* Jin claps and looks at Silvester with a serious yet surprised face.

*I was right, though. You really don’t belong to my element, which means I have more than one element...
Which means I am much different than one could possibly imagine...
Which means I am truly a god.
Which also means I... am... the... MONKEY-KIIIIING! But one off-subject question, tho, did you also sense a different kind of energy on our way here? I mean, back then, as Morphius ran us to this area? It felt awesomely powerful, but different. With this connection to us, somehow it is different.
We need to find out who that energy belongs to. I don’t care if it's a person or just a place or a thing!*

Silvester breathes in deeply, trying to process everything Jin just said. Everything he said was way too fast to follow.

Silvester holds onto his shoulders and tells him, *next time, just one piece of information or question at a time. And maybe just a tiny bit slower, OK? But I think I know what you were trying to say, and no, I never sensed anything extraordinary; I was hardly concentrating on not puking because of how it would have ruined my face. His running style is weird!*

They quickly change subjects after minutes of having nothing more to add. Jin announces, *Challenge time, baby!!*.

They lay two gigantic stones in the middle of the workout field. They have to meditate and create another magnetic force. Each of the participants will sit on one end while facing both stones. Whoever manages to pull both stones into his magnetic pull wins the challenge.

*May the strongest win. Oh, and also, I am only going to use my cold element, so we both have opposite sides. Don’t forget to go all out! Add your element to make it hotter!
Alright, now what should we call this amazing game? Ball-sucker? Ballsy? Ball-juggle? Sucker? Wait, I have a good one... The planet crusher.* Jin winks twice, right after talking.

The challenge has begun; they both glow bright: Jin, blue, and Silvester, red. The aura they ablaze is frightening, enough to oppress a normal person.

Their aura bursts out much stronger than before. Morphius is forced out of his sleep and is frightened for a second. He shivers with goosebumps all over his body. Every single hair on him is pointed in the direction of the magnetic fields Jin and Silvester are creating.

Morphius walks out of the igloo and admires the beautiful work of art. He looks in his body-hairs' direction and sees purple beams a few kilometers away from him.

*This power is so far away yet frightening. It feels like whatever or whoever it is is a mighty being. Brother, is it you?
No, his mighty presence feels different even when he goes all out. Wait, has my brother ever gone all out before?
Let me think...
I mean, he must be fierce by now. He has made us move along for a very long time.
How long was I captured out of this realm?
Two suns can not be over right at this moment; otherwise, my existence would have already exited this world.
Where are the innocent men I started my journey of hiding with?*

He walks slowly and closer to the beam so as to not waste his energy.
Right before he catches up, the beam disappears. Jin is jumping, celebrating his victory against Silvester, who appears to be disgraced and happy all at once.

Silvester is the first to see Morphius standing there, waiting.

*Sup brother?* Morphius raises an eyebrow and asks Silvester what his saying means.

Jin shakes his head and answers, *It doesn’t matter, cuuuuuzzzz, I got the answer to that—ahh damn it! It means, How are you doing? Now stop looking at me like that!*

Morphius nods to Silvester. Jin tells Mophius it is all going to be good, and they will live without having to run and hide for the rest of their lives.

Morphius doesn't believe them and asks how many days have already passed by.

After hearing their answer, he refuses to believe they have a chance of survival. Also, he refuses to go back to sleep and leaves both men to walk back to their igloo.

They sleep through till the next afternoon, right after Morphius takes a meditation break.

A new day has started, an hour past noon, but there is no Ares to see.

Morphius at last believes it is all over and hopes that Ares has either forgotten about them or won’t find them that easily. They clean themselves and go outside for a walk.

*Something is burning.*

Everyone smells it and walks towards the smoke.

Jin and Silvester further suppress their already suppressed aura.

Ares is sitting in front of a fire he has just made. Inside that fire are human beings.

*So it appears you are all crazy enough to not run away, as I told upon you. Have you already given up on the life Father gave unto you?
As for you, brother...*

He takes a deep breath.

*...I am very much disappointed! I hoped you would run away and keep running for the rest of your life.
I will be truthful with you and tell you that I will not have that much fun killing you. Ok, I just realized it a day ago.
I still have to kill you to become stronger and make sure Father is gone forever.
You know, brother, without a weapon, my Tomei will be too low to kill an immortal god like him.
I hope you will understand and forgive me someday, should there be an afterlife...
For gods, I do know there is nothing after death.
Odin says there should be something called Valhalla... It is disgraceful talk.
As for a half-god, I can’t say. You do have a soul. A soul is a form of sacred energy—an entire self-healing energy. It doesn't replenish after death. Maybe it will lead you somewhere out of this world, not Chaos, I am afraid.
Maybe to Uncle Hades.*

After ending his small talk, there is an awkward silence between all four men.

Ares looks into the eyes of each of them and looks a second time at his brother, asking him, *I sensed a very strange, strong power a few hours ago. What was that? Did you get stronger, brother?*

Chapter 14, end.
