A couple days have passed and Scoups still couldn't get past the fact that Jeonghan laughed at his name.

"Are you really this annoyed at that? Get over it, Coups," one of his crew mates, Vernon, said. For the first time in a few minutes, the captain stopped pacing around his cabin and slumped down on his bed.

He sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "You've been through worse," Vernon trailed off, taking a sip of water. "You weren't even mad when your father-" before he could finish his sentence, he was met with a flying dagger to his feet.

"Ok, ok, relax." The younger pirate says, before leaving the cabin- getting the hint that Scoups wants to be alone.

He really didn't know why he's been thinking about that noble. He never liked them. So his infatuation with this particular one just didn't make sense to him.

It was a smooth sailing evening, at this point, and Scoups finally left his cabin. He always loved looking over the horizon, listening to the waves of the ocean clash against his ship. It gave him inner peace.

"Hey."

Scoups turned his head and saw Jeonghan walking over to him. "Nothing from my parents yet?" He asked, leaning over the railing- as Scoups did.

Looking back at the ocean, the captain shook his head slightly. "Nothing." Jeonghan sighed and buried his face in his hands. "I guess they don't want me any more..." The nobleman started sobbing, unexpectedly to Scoups.

He's never seen a nobleman cry, let alone a man cry. He didn't know what to do. He felt awkward, and so stayed silent for a while, while the other cried.

It's not like he didn't feel empathetic, but he's never had something like this ever happen. He was always taught, by his father, that men don't cry. They don't show sadness, weakness or mercy. Ever since childhood, it's been ingraved in his mind. And even till now, in his late twenties, he still believes so- to some degree.

"I thought of was gonna be back home by now," Jeonghan choked out through tears. Scoups stepped closer to the nobleman and pat his back. "It's gonna be fine."

Jeonghan looked up from his hands to Scoups. His hair slightly damp in the front from crying and his eyes completely losing hope of ever going home. "You're the one who kidnapped me. Why do you care?" He asked, wiping his tears.

Scoups stood there for a second, not really knowing what to say.

"To some degree, I understand you. I just didn't really cry, persay, but I was distraught." He looked back over at the ocean, leaning on the rail.

Jeonghan sniffled and watched as the light breeze flowed through the pirate's hair; making him look like someone from a fantasy book he's read.

Perfect hair- as perfect as a pirate's can get- beautiful skin, amazing proportions and gorgeous deep eyes-

"Why do you wear an eye patch?"

The question make Scoups internally flinch. "Long story."

Jeonghan got closer and inspected the eye patch. Scoups turned to face the nobleman, confused on what he's trying to do. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna take it off." He looked at the pirate, smiling slightly; reassuring him.

Why he did, he doesn't know, but Scoups, without a second thought, took off his eye patch.

Jeonghan's eyes widened at the scar on his face. "What happened? Why- why is your eye completely red too?" He didn't get an immediate response. The two stood face to face- one left baffled and the other nonverbal.

Moving slightly closer, Jeonghan reached out to touch the scar, being careful enough to not hurt the other man. "It must've been awful.. I can't imagine the pain you must've-"

"Don't." Scoups said as he grabbed Jeonghan's wrist. "Don't feel bad. I don't need pity."

Truthfully, he didn't want to explain. He didn't want to think about that day his father slashed him. He wanted to move on, through his brain just can't seem to let him. Every few nights he relives that day. Though it was 10 years ago, it still stung like it was 10 minutes ago.

"Sorry.."

"It's alright."

"You still look really handsome."

Scoups was brought back to his senses as he looked at Jeonghan. He thought he heard wrong, but when Jeonghan repeated himself..

"You do. Better than basically everyone I've ever seen back home." The nobleman smiled.

"Oh- thank you.?" He didn't know how to react. He was never really complemented, at least not after he got that scar. It's part of the reason why he covered it up in the first place. After it healed, he was in disbelief at how much more different he looked and it only damaged his image of himself more.

He didn't wanna believe Jeonghan was being sincere, but he sounded like it.

"Sorry, if it's sudden, but... Yeah." He looked down at his feet, feeling nervous at the fact that Scoups didn't appreciate the complement.

"You're um.. Pretty," he said timidly.

Jeonghan looked up in shock. "What?"

The pirate nodded, smiling slightly. "You're pretty.." He cleared his throat and looked over at the horizon, once again, not wanting to make eye contact.

Jeonghan smiled, doing the same. "Thank you, captain."

He couldn't help himself, so he looked over at the nobleman and felt his heart beat out his chest at the sight. Jeonghan's hair flowing, his skin glowing in the moonlight and his beautiful eyes sparkling.

He smiled and leaned closer, making Jeonghan do the same.

The two stared into each other's eyes before leaning into a kiss.

"THAT'S OUR CAPTAIN! HELL YEAH!"

Both men jumped as they looked over at the pirate's walking over, screaming- well it was mostly Hoshi- but nonetheless, the two felt embarrassed.

"No breakfast for any of you," Scoups joked, making his pirate crew whine.

Jeonghan smiled.

Maybe this won't be so bad.
