Over time, their interactions grew from brief handovers to long chats. Mingyu found himself eagerly waiting for Seungkwan's visits, not just for Bobpul's sake but for his own. Seungkwan's presence and energy, brightened his day. He felt himself wanting to get close to him. Trying his best to make excuses to see him, without being too weird or uncomfortable about it.

One evening, Mingyu came home to find Seungkwan still at his house- sitting on the floor with Bobpul curled up in his lap. The sight warmed his heart.

He had already texted him earlier that he's going back home, so he could just leave since it's getting late.

"You're staying longer these days," Mingyu said, trying to sound casual as he handed Seungkwan a cup of tea.

Seungkwan took it with a smile. "Bobpul's just too cute to leave. And, well, I enjoy spending time with you."

Mingyu's heart raced. He wanted to say something, to confess how he felt, but fear held him back. What if Seungkwan didn't feel the same way? What if he ruined their friendship and made things awkward?

The pattern continued. Mingyu would come home, and there Seungkwan would be, always ready with a smile and some random gossip about his friend circle. The feelings he had been trying to suppress grew stronger, but he couldn't bring himself to act on them.

One evening, as they sat on the couch watching a movie with Bobpul snuggled between them, Seungkwan noticed Mingyu looked tense. He had seen the way Mingyu looked at him, the way his eyes softened and his smile grew whenever they were together. Seungkwan had been feeling the same way, and he decided it was time to take a chance.

"Mingyu," Seungkwan turned to face him. "Can I ask you something?"

Mingyu's heart skipped a beat. "Of course, what's up?" He asked, petting Bobpul.

Seungkwan took a deep breath, his nerves showing for the first time since they'd met. "Do you... I mean, would you... want to go out sometime? Like, on a date?"

Mingyu stared at him, his eyes wide with shock leaving him speechless. "You mean, like, a real date?" he managed to ask, his heart beat picking up.

Seungkwan nodded, smiling. "Yeah, a real date. Because I've kind of been wanting to ask you out for a while now."

A grin spread across Mingyu's face, relief and joy flooding through him. "I can't believe this. I was going to ask you out but stopped because I thought you wouldn't be interested."

Seungkwan laughed softly. "Well, looks like we've both been thinking the same thing."

Mingyu reached over and took Seungkwan's hand, squeezing it gently. "I'd love to go on a date with you, Seungkwan."

Seungkwan's smile was radiant, his eyes twinkling with happiness. "Great! How about tomorrow? We can grab dinner after I take care of Bobpul."

"Sounds perfect," Mingyu said, feeling a warmth spread through him that had nothing to do with the tea he's drinking.

As they settled back into the couch, the movie long forgotten, Mingyu felt a sense of contentment wash over him.
