It was two weeks before Halloween, and everyone was already getting into the spirit.

Seungkwan had always been the most excited when it came to decorating his and his boyfriend's apartment for the season, and this year was no different. He and his boyfriend, Soonyoung, had made a tradition of heading to the mall together, picking out new decorations to add to their growing collection. Though their couch was already brimming with an assortment of pillows, Seungkwan was adamant about finding one more- a Halloween-themed pillow to complete the look.

Soonyoung, ever the supportive boyfriend, had agreed but with one condition: "Just one pillow, Seungkwan. We really don't need more than that."

And so, they wandered the mall, hand in hand, as Seungkwan scanned each shop for that perfect piece to tie the room together. But as the minutes ticked by and the shelves remained devoid of a suitable pillow, Seungkwan began to get frustrated. He wasn't picky- he just wanted something that would fit their spooky aesthetic.

Sensing Seungkwan's growing disappointment, Soonyoung suggested, "How about we take a break from the pillows and decorations? Let's go look at some costumes for the party. It'll be fun!"

Seungkwan hesitated, still a little upset, but he knew Soonyoung was trying to help. "Fine," he muttered, and they made their way to the costume section.

Soonyoung immediately gravitated toward a racer costume, grinning as he held it up. "What do you think? Hot enough for you?" he joked, wiggling his eyebrows.

Seungkwan gave a small smile but didn't pick out anything for himself. He was still sulking, and Soonyoung knew it. He didn't push, though. Instead, they paid for Soonyoung's costume and headed home.

Once they got back to the apartment, Soonyoung, eager to lighten the mood, slipped into his racer costume. He dramatically strutted into the living room, striking ridiculous poses in front of Seungkwan, who was curled up on the couch.

"Check out these moves! Kachow!" Soonyoung exclaimed, zooming around the room like a little kid. Seungkwan couldn't help but laugh at his antics, his earlier frustration melting away.

"You're such a dork," Seungkwan giggled, shaking his head.

Soonyoung grinned, knowing he'd succeeded in cheering his boyfriend up. "I'll take this off in a sec. Then we can order some food, yeah?"

But before he could head to the bedroom, Seungkwan sat up straight, a sudden glint in his eyes. "Wait, I have a costume to show you too."

Soonyoung blinked, confused. "But... you didn't pick one out at the store?"

Seungkwan smirked as he got up. "Just wait here."

He disappeared into the bedroom, leaving Soonyoung sitting on the edge of their couch, bewildered. A few minutes passed, and when Seungkwan emerged from the bedroom, Soonyoung's jaw nearly hit the floor.

There, standing in front of him, was Seungkwan in a skimpy badminton player costume. The shorts were almost too short, and the shirt was tight in all the right places. Seungkwan stood there, racket in hand, with wide, playful eyes.

Soonyoung stared, trying to process the sight before him. "W-where did you...?" he stammered, utterly caught off guard.

Seungkwan grinned, twirling the racket in his hand. "What? You didn't think I could pull this off?"

"I... I mean... you look..." Soonyoung trailed off, still trying to form coherent thoughts as Seungkwan strutted around the room, showing off the outfit.
