It was a quiet and relaxing evening for Seungcheol. Which is a nice change from the usual week day for him.

Choi Seungcheol is the son of two high nobles in the Circles Kingdom. He's always been raised to fit that standard, to uphold the family name and status. Though he's not opposed to continuing with this, the constant bombardment from his parents to join different classes and meetings so he's "prepared."

Being the good son he is, he follows- almost- everything they say. But one thing he can't stand at all is the fact that he has to have a bodyguard following him around all the time.

ALL THE TIME.

What's even worse, is that fact that he's not that annoying of a guy, he's just there with him every second of the day.

But now, all he needs to worry about is whether he might get cold or not.

Seungcheol has been out of the manor for hours, riding through the kingdom on his horse. Not a care in the world.

He felt so free and genuinely happy for the first time in a while. He will never take these moments for granted, especially since he will get these opportunities even less as he grows up.

After a while, he finds a nice spot to settle in for a break to admire the sky. It was adorned with beautiful warm tones and clouds that look unreal.

Laying back on the grass, he closed his eyes and let sleep take him.

"Ahem"

Are you kidding me?!

Seungcheol's eyes shot open, looking up only to find his bodyguard, Mingyu, standing over him with an annoyed expression on his face.

"What?!" He asked, standing up to face Mingyu.

Mingyu crossed his arms. "I've been looking for you everywhere." He paused for a moment, sighing. "Just because you get free time, doesn't mean that I get free time."

Seungcheol walked over to his horse, getting on the saddle. "Should've taken today as your free time, then." He said, frustrated and unamused.

Scoffing, Mingyu steps in front of the horse every time Seungcheol tries to ride off.

"Move!"

"No! Because your life is in my hands!" He raised his voice back at him.

Seungcheol glared at him, coming off of his horse to be at his level. "You weren't with all day! Does it look like I'm in danger or have gotten hurt at all?!"

"You could've been!"

"But I wasn't!"

The two kept going back and forth, arguing to no end.

That's until Seungcheol felt a sharp pain in his leg, falling to the ground.

Immediately, Mingyu's eyes widened and he picked him off of the ground, carrying him on the horse and riding off.

Seungcheol held on as best as he could. He gripped his leg, trying not to move it too much as to not make the pain worse.

As soon as they arrived back at the manor, Mingyu called over the guards standing at the front door to help.

"You'll be fine." Mingyu sat at the foot of Seungcheol's bed as he laid there.

"That's easy for you to say. You weren't the one shot in the leg with an arrow!" He winced as he tried to sit up against the headboard of his bed.
