"Guys, just order so we can go," Donghyuck said as he sipped on his milkshake, waiting for the other two to finally decide on what to get.

Jaemin let out an exasperated sigh before going for his 'usual' and slumping down in the seat next to Haechan's as they waited for Jeno's glazed doughnuts to arrive.

Haechan lightly punched the brunet's arm causing the younger to yelp as he glared at him, "what was that for?"

"For spending years on ordering your poisoned coffee Nana," he replied, "did you really have to get into a whole debate about it with Jeno?"

"Uh... yes?" that earned the boy another playful punch and he whined about how Donghyuck never treated Jeno like that.

(He did though.)

In that moment, one of Full Sun's waiters, Minhyuk, came out of the back of house with a box of doughnuts to go and approached the three with a smile.

"Here you go Jeno," the black haired man was so used to their visits that he'd already memorised their names and faces. Sometimes, by the time they'd arrived at the café, he'd already have their orders ready.

"Thank you hyung," Jeno said before the other walked back around the counter to help the barista, Wonho, to serve some more customers.

The trio walked out of Full Sun with smiles on their faces, and in Jeno's case, glazed doughnuts in his mouth, as they made their way to school; relishing the moments they had left before hell started.

They'd arrived about 3 minutes after the gates had opened and casually entered. They hadn't even made it ten steps in before they were stopped by a girl with long brown hair who held a card in her shaking hands.

"D-Donghyuck oppa I-" Haechan walked passed her before she could finish, he didn't want to have anything to do with the lies she was about to spout. About how much she loved him, about how he made her happy and made life worth living. Lies.

They were all lies.

He'd heard them all before and he didn't want to hear them again, he didn't even know who she was, how could he mean anything more to her than a handsome face?

He didn't want anyone's fakeness, he wanted honesty. That was something only his friends could give him.

"Hyuck, take offence, but that was such a bitchy ass move. She's crying now," said boy snorted and then gave the blonde beside him a pointed look.

"Since when did you care about making people cry, Mr. Fuckboy?"

Jaemin laughed at the betrayed look on Jeno's face and then shoved them both out of the way as he bolted for the back of the building, the others chasing him angrily, while rubbing the sides of their heads that bumped against each other.

When the school day had finally started, Jaemin and Donghyuck dragged Jeno to his philosophy class against his will before making their way towards their art classroom.

Jaemin heard that there would be a new student so he decided not to skip, 'y'know just in case they're cute,' he'd told the orange haired boy walking with him. Donghyuck scoffed at the brunet's obvious enthusiasm before ruffling the younger's silky auburn locks. To be completely honest, Haechan wasn't all too bothered about something as trivial as a transfer, after all it wasn't like they meant anything to him, whoever they were.

They'd arrived fashionably late to class, both boys going to their tables and sitting atop them, instead of on their chairs. The teacher, Ms. Young, didn't say anything about it, used to their behaviour by now and also scared to say anything against it.

Just then there was a knock on the door and Hyuck leaned down to Jaemin's ear to whisper, 'who actually knocks on doors,' which made the latter giggle. The teacher cleared her throat before standing up from her seat and opening the door for the person.

"Ah, you must be Renjun. You're quite late, did you get lost?" She gave him a warm smile, not giving the small boy a chance to answer as she pushed him to the front of the class and told him to introduce himself. He gave her a look, but did as she said anyway.

"Huang Renjun, but just call me Injun, I'd rather not be subject to listening to everyone's horrible mispronunciations of my name on my first day."

Jaemin grinned muttering an, 'I think I'm in love already,' while sending the new boy heart eyes that any other human would kill to receive. The boy sat next to him shook his head before looking up at Ms. Young and stating firmly, "he will be sitting with us."

Everybody snapped their heads around to look at Haechan in shock as he finished speaking, even Jaemin sent him a baffled stare. The boy simply winked at his friend and nudged him, mouthing a 'thank me later' as he turned his head back to the teacher.

"Are you going to keep me waiting?" he asked with a raised brow.

The woman choked on her saliva as she tried to stutter out a reply, "o-of course not, Renjun g-go sit next t-to Donghyuck-ssi."

The black haired boy took a minute to stare at the whole class with confusion, the students returned his gaze with looks of jealousy and contempt mixed into their seemingly unblinking orbs.

'Okayyy, these lot are weird,' he thought, 'note to self: Carrot Head seems important. Don't get on his bad side and more importantly that smiley boy sitting next to him is cute.'

With everyone's eyes on him, he sauntered his way towards the table that the two were perched upon. It was near the back and it was the biggest in the classroom, but no one sat there except for those two boys.

Renjun honestly wasn't liking the way his first lesson was going, all he wanted to do was draw, but it seemed fate had other plans for him. As he pulled out a chair to sit on, he was hoisted up (like a ragdoll that weighed nothing) and sat on someone's lap instead.

"Nope, from now on your seat is Jaemin's lap, understand?"

And as gasps and whispers started to file through the air, Renjun hadn't hated his life more.
