Chaotic Family Time

Karma sighed as he shuffled out of bed, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He quietly phased through the door, deciding to stay ghost until he was able to wake up.

He quietly floated down the stairs, moving past the few other teens who were awake and went into the kitchen. He grabbed a cup, filling it with water quickly so he could go relax on the couch before any of the kids woke up.

They lived in a rather run-down house, but the large family made it their own. Having found an abandoned hotel in the woods and being allowed to buy it,  Karma turned an empty hotel into a home for his gang/family.

He plopped on the couch, yawning. He pulled out his phone to check the calender, [So what we got going on today...] He thought, sighing. He checked the time, and it wad around 8 am, which was fairly early for him to wake up.

After a moment, one of the younger kids slowly trailed down the stairs, carrying his younger brother.

Fetch felt an energy as he passed into the living room. He tiredly walked up to the couch, plopping down on it. "Karma...?" He softly called out.

Karma made himself visible, for Fetch to see he was next to him. "Hey, buddy! How are ya?"

Fetch flinched lightly at the sudden appearance, but yawned. He gently put his younger brother Gage next to him, "Can you hold him? I wanna go play but he won't wake up." He whined.

Karma chuckled, but took the four year old into his arms, "Sure, buddy. Spot's not up yet?" He questioned, wondering why Fetch wouldn't just go to his older brother.

Fetch nodded, "He's still asleep. So is C and mama." He yawned again, looking like he was about to fall asleep himself.

Karma examined the younger kid, looking over him just to make sure he was alright. "Hey bud, you can go back to sleep if you're tired, it's ok to sleep." He said, stretching an arm over to hug him.

Fetch nodded, deciding to take that advice. He curled up next to Karma, leaning on him as he fell back asleep.

After a while, more people began to wake up, coming down to either get ready for work or to prepare for the day.

Karma smiled as he saw some of the kids, kids of all ages, sleepily stumble out of their rooms. He knew they would most likely need some sort of drink before waking up fully.

Luckily for him, two girls walked down, one with striking red hair and the other with an entrancing blue.

C, the one with the royal blue hair, dragged behind Journey, the one with the red. Journey laughed as she dragged her down the stairs, wanting to go on a walk before everyone else woke up.

Once they got down there, they said hello to Karma, but the minor argument - if you can even call it that - continued. C planted herself firmly on the couch, and despite Journey's insistent and physical tugging, C just held on tighter to the couch.

"Oh, come on, C!" Journey whined, "It'll just be around the block! No more than a few minutes, I promise!"

C groaned in annoyance and pulled back, "Nooo! It's cold out there!"

"It's not even THAT cold!"

"It is to me! You still have your jacket! I lost mine last winter, remember?"

"You LITERALLY sleep with a fan on in your room."

"Not the point!"

"Totally the point! Get off your butt!"

"Make me!"

Karma laughed as he watched them bicker back and forth, but made sure they were quiet enough to not wake up the kids.
